I'VE ALWAYS ADMIRED STRENGTH AND PHYSIQUE, EVEN FROM MY EARLIEST CHILDHOOD MEMORIES. MY FATHER GOT ME STARTED WEIGHT TRAINING AT ELEVEN YEARS OLD, BUT I DIDN'T GET SERIOUS UNTIL I WAS SIXTEEN.

I'VE BEEN TRAINING AS A BODYBUILDER FOR 25 YEARS, AND HAVE BEEN COMPETING SINCE 1994. I WON THE LIGHT-HEAVY CLASS AT THE 2004 JUNIOR USA, AND MY GOAL NOW IS TO GET AS CLOSE TO THAT SHAPE AS I CAN.

What is the most common reason that somebody gets injured while lifting?
THE MOST COMMON REASON FOR INJURY, IN MY EXPERIENCE, IS A COMBINATION OF POOR TECHNIQUE AND LACK OF CONCENTRATION.
