My Workout Program
I have a weird schedule since I am a firefighter I work 24 hours then I am off for 48! I workout on my off days.I always workout whatever has gone the longest without getting hit, as far as being a certain bodypart on a certain day is impossible for me.I train by myself a lot also since most other people I know work a normal job. As far as my workouts,I train in the 8-12 rep range with the heaviest weight I can handle for the above amount of reps.I will mix up my exercises as far as order and intensity periodically to keep my body guessing.My diet stays pretty clean with me eating as much protein from whole foods as much as possible and throw in a few shakes when needed,mainly right after workout and before bed or upon waking up.I eat 8-12 egg whites in the mornings with two packages of some type of low sugar oatmeal. Then usually make 1 pound of lean beef or turkey with some type of beans and brown rice.That meal is great for your complex carbs and protein plus you get a good amount of fiber from the beans.Some days that goes twice a day.Tuna fish is usually another meal sometime in the day with 1 can tunafish with whole wheat bread and low fat miracle with some japs,and I usually eat some almonds with my sandwich for more protein and also the good fats.
