How I Started:
I am a former Marine. When I left the Corps I come home and got lazy. Got into online gaming and did a lot of sitting around. Between being unemployed and taking easy jobs I just ballooned.
I am in this for my health, my wife and my 2 young boys.
I know obese people who are now struggling hard because their health got so bad because of their weight that now they have to live on VERY restictive diets. I want to squash this disease of being overweight before it completely owns me.
Why I Love It:
Confidence, the thought of retaining good health.
How I Stay Motivated:
My 2 young boys. Seeing real life examples showing me where i will be very soon if I continue down this path of obesity.

I will regain my military level of fitness that I once had. Not just for myself but for my wife and two young boys. Once down to my desired weight I will work to gain mass to oneday bring myself to 225 pounds at 10% bodyfat.

When I first tried cardio when I started this journey I could only get 5 minutes in on the eliptical trainer. Being out of shape for soo long and being this heavy has completely weighted me down.... literally.
The second time I got in 10 minutes and was sore for days.
Hi there, I just wanted to say hello, and I hope you are successful in achieving your goals...I see you started, have you any updates? I am trying to find people in my like situation, to "help" keep me motivated. I too am looking to get healthy for me and my family. Good luck to you, I would like to stay up your stats....
