How I Started:
I got my start by attending NIU's Greek Physique competition in 2003. Fascinated by the event, I decided I would get involved in the sport. Didn't get serious about it until the following year. For three years, I ambled about until I learned the meaning of "intensity" and started making serious progress. I am getting closer to appearing my first contest, with every passing day.
Why I Love It:
It just feels good. I go to the iron and relax. This is my haven. When I'm taking my exercise, all my problems beyond the gym walls are insignificant, and I feel better about myself and overcoming those obstacles.
How I Stay Motivated:
My entire family is out of shape and crippled from lack of personal care. I wanted to be not like them. That keeps me from giving up, or giving in to fat genes (and fat jeans).

Staying in it for so long in the face of major adversity.

seated alt dbl curls, pyramid training

Hahaha, thanks dude! Yes, I have to agree with you there..That sammich wins all! We had a Thanksgiving-ish dinner last night at the fams and I had honeybaked turkey on sour dough roll with cranberry sauce and stuffing in between...It was so damn good!!! In that sitting I think I ate about 2,500 calories easily..2 plates of solid food lol...My cheat "meals".

Thanks and my pleasure. Stick with it and learn everything you can about the tools you need to get the job done. Sculpting the body takes time. So it's hard to rush perfection. Just keep setting small goals with an overall vision and eventually you will take yourself there. Good luck!

Hey man how the training going? stay confident and motivated I am ! week out I didnt think I would make it this far when I was further out but if you stay strict the last 2 weeks it will all fall into place. every week I had doubts and it just takes someone to keep you focused. My sleeve is a heaven and hell theme that is made up of Angels, fallen angels, roses, and heel towards the bottom. I have one Angel reaching down towards another Angel who is being pulled down by a fallen angel. It is something that has special meaning to me, and I don't regret one single tat.
