When I Started:
Feb, 2006
How I Started:
I decided it was time to make a change in my life. I was always skinny & not very athletic growing up. When I graduated high school, I weighed somewhere aroud 130 lbs. at 5'9". I eventually got up to about 135. A few years ago, I lost a lot of weight due to some extra-curricular activities... I'm not sure what my lowest weight was, but I'm sure it was below 115 lbs. After turning some things around & getting rid of one particularly powerful addiction, I started gaining weight again -- simply from eating regularly. It was then that I joined the gym. Worked with a personal trainer for the first couple of months to get a basic understanding of equipment and exercise. Fell in love with lifting! Plan on doing it as long as I'm physically able!
Why I Love It:
Bodybuilding is an outlet for me -- I get to watch my body change & grow while relieving stress. I feel better & look better!
How I Stay Motivated:
Watching someone make a change for the good in their life motivates me to continue! It reminds me of why I started in the first place. Seeing progress is a huge motivator. People on bb.com and work out buds can be great motivation.
BB Accomplishments:
Going from 140lbs and 14%bf to 155lbs and 8%bf in a year... I think that should count. :)
To bulk up as much as possible through the fall and winter.
Goal (Long):
I need to see results. I'm pushing myself to see change. I'm eating better and eating more. I'm lifting heavier, never missing a day at the gym, and getting good rest. My goal is to gain some solid muscle, naturally. Generally speaking, I don't want to be big. However, relatively speaking, I want to be big for me -- I don't know how much I need to gain, but I know how I want to look. I'm thinking I need to gain about 20 lbs to see what I'm looking for. I'M READY TO GROW!
Whether he's talking smack or just shooting the breeze, I can always count on Jay for inspiration! This dude is not a slacker & he is quick to let you know that he doesn't support slacking! LOL. Keeps me on my toes!
The Monkey Boy DEFINITELY inspires me. I feel like we share some similarities & it's helpful to know that I'm not alone. He is dedicated and steadily hard at work to achieve his goals. All you have to do is check out his progress pics to see that he has made great gains & continues to do so! On top of it, he's hilarious! Just watch out cuz nobody likes to be monkey slapped... ;)
So my goal for the past 4 months or so has been to gain 15 lbs of lean muscle and get down to 8% body fat. My body fat has been listed as 12% because that's what it was last time I checked, but it's been quite a while since then. I recently purchased bf callipers (?) with a built in...
thanks bro for the love!! everything is going good i need to lost about 8 more pounds. But you looking good bro, i'm no so ready for BET yet but will be at the end of this month i will
What's up buddy! Not too much on this end, just still grinding it out. I may compete in 2010, but that's still up in the air. I made some great progress in just one year,,,,now I'm ready to take it to the next level. Dude you're definitely doing your thing....what's been working for you?
You got it down! Training and your diet. Id kill for a nice omlette right now...lol. Yeah Im here for a couple weddings and some business. Been just running, doing sit ups, and push ups. My friends are two dogs..lol..run with me every morning. Have a good week! Train hard, bro!
Yeah, doing legs comes much easier than back and chest. But I have cranked the weight on them too. Finally hitting 200lb on my chest press, and 205lbs on cable row (6 reps on each)... it's challenging. How's swimming?
yooo buddy! thanks for the shot! how precious is he! ...we all had a laugh with the before & after (yeah i showed his off) haha Again thanks for sharing dude. I'm hitting the gym in a few. I can't wait any longer! haha
crazy crazy Christmas Eve! No snow here (rain) but I'm luvin' it! haha ...We're just chillin man that's all. I bet your little dude got one of EVERYTHING in TOYS R US! Merry Christmas!
I hope that this doesn't ruin the surprise, but I found the most amazing gift for you. It's a blanket with sleeves in it. I know, hard to believe is it not?
