Fit Status:
I am fighting a cold and fighting getting motivated at the gym. New gym again. It makes getting back on track a little difficult.

Apr, 2007
How I Started:
I finally decided enough was enough after seeing my picture in a swimsuit. My husband and I started eating better and exercising right after that.
Why I Love It:
Until I started to use weights, I didn't see much change in my body. I lost a few pounds here and there, but when I picked up the weights and realized I wasn't going to get big that was all it took to get hooked.
How I Stay Motivated:
My husband and son motivate me. I also have friends at the gym I attend. Fitting into another smaller size makes a big difference as well.

This was taken before I admitted that the reason I couldn't find pants to fit was because I was about two sizes under where I should have been looking. DENIAL!!
All of my life I have been considered the fat girl. I have changed that using not only cardio but weight lifting too. I wish to continue my body transformation and be happy with even my legs come summer.

Other than the obvious benefits (appearance, health, etc.), how has bodybuilding and fitness improved your overall life?
I have always been a shy person. I worried about what I looked like and what people thought of me. Talk about self consious. I am now more outgoing and have more respect for myself.
I have been working really hard this week to get to the gym as much as possible and push myself. I think it is starting to do the trick. I have gotten the push I needed to drop the next pant size. I was almost there, and through diet and exercise, I have reached my goal. No matter...
I am glad to hear things are going well. I am sure you'll drop the other 5 lbs. Your looking great! I went backpacking in CA for most of last week and have missed my workouts for a few weeks. I'll get back in the grove this week. Have a great day.
Wow....5 pounds! Thats awesome. Congradulations. My workouts are going great. I leveled out in the spring and am now seeing results again. I can't wait to see your updated pics...5 lbs lighter. I hope things continue to go well.
