In 2001 I weighed 240lbs. I joined a gym and lost 40lbs, discovered fitness and qualified to be a fitness instructor.
Since due to ill health, injury and other "hic-cups" I find myself back at 210lbs and starting again which is why my starting date is this year 2008....this time it's serious!
Why I Love It:
I love the way it makes me feel. I have an image in my head of what me at goal will look like and it excites me!
How I Stay Motivated:
Everyday spent looking after my body by exercise and good nutrition is one day nearer to my goal, and one day less feeling like i'm in the wrong body. The way I look now isn't "me"...I need to peel away the layers and see the real me.

I need to loose 50lbs, at least 15% bodyfat and rebuild my fitness and strength after a bad knee injury Dec 2006 and a hysterectomy in 2007.
I am a fitness manager and advanced level instructor..I have the qualifications, now I desperatly need to look the part. Being judged daily because I don't look like a typical gym instructor is hard.
My husband has an amazing body and I want to feel equal to him!
You have done a super job to this point & if you wish to get rid of more bodyfat & also get into great shape I suggest you check out the 12 week Body for Life program. It's a complete body transformation program that gives you a great nutrition plan as well as weightlifting & cardio routines. My wife (bodyspace: judimax) went from a size 12/14 to a 4/6 & I lost over 50 lbs going from 36 to 10% bodyfat in just 12 weeks with the BFL program. Let us know if you would like more info.
We both started at about the same size/height... dont give up ! ull get there.... just be patient :) thats one thing most people dont have :).. been there done that still doing it :)
Hi! Thank you for the friends request! I am proud of you! You WILL achieve your goal and I am sure that you are already equal to your hubby. :-) I look at my hubby and I feel the same way...he has awesome legs (mine are the hardest part for me to shape up). Anyway, stay positive and YOU WILL achieve your goals! :-) Do not let others negativity get to you! I think you are great! God Bless! xoxo Tamar
I read your comment about yourself on 'being judged daily'. I have always been heavier even when I was teaching group fitness, powerlifting all of that. I understand what your saying however living a healthy lifestyl is what is important, being fit doesn't necessarily construe 10% body fat or looking the part and that is an attribute you bring to the table for the people around you. Use it to inspire!!
I have always posted my workouts and nutrition from the beginning, in my blog to get an idea. But, I think what have given me the advantage is being open to preparing foods in different ways than maybe my mom taught me. And starting to be serious about my supplements for my energy and muscle enhancement. to burn more fat at rest!)
Hey bettyboop2007..thanks for the compliment..been having issues these last few months..so no new progress..but I am re-dedicating myself to my fitness plan starting Monday..so stay tune..Wishing u success in reaching your goals as well in 2008!!!
I just dropped by to see how you are and how your fitness quest is going. Are you still able to be focused, strong and determined?
Remember what Laura Breckenridge said;
"It is not more than you can handle. It is merely more than you thought you could."
You can do this.
Hey!Good luck with everything. I hear what your saying about the hubby having a nice body and wanting to be up there with him too lol . I also had a question about your lean green supps your taking, does it make you feel weird in anyway?
Thx for the encouragement! You'll do great. Muscle has memory. If you weren't weight training before, start now. It's awesome and it does great things for your physique. Just remember, the best way to get the weight off is to EAT CLEAN. I am making miraculous changes just by that. Good luck and keep in touch. Candice
