Emory University Attended 2005 to 2009 Atlanta, Georgia United States
High School:
When I Started:
Jan, 2005
How I Started:
I had been involved in tons of sports growing up ranging from volleyball, gymnastics, to predominately swimming, and water polo. I graduated high school at 5'7" 128lbs. Super skinny but toned from 4 hour swim/polo practices per day. After high school there was no team to get me in shape so I put on 15 pounds in 3 months and all the muscle in my upper body turned to fat around my stomach. This messed with my head and I quickly lost all that weight and then some (not healthy). I came back home from school joined a gym, got offered a job working desk and teaching indoor cycling classes, and just meeting great people and finding a new mentality and a new perspective on my bodyl sparked my love for working out.
Why I Love It:
I love working out because it makes me feel stable. It gives me control over my body. Its a discipline to keep me focused. And it boosts the self-esteem like no other.
How I Stay Motivated:
I stay motivated by switching it up. I'm always open to new ways and ideas of working out. Most often I listen to myself. If I'm feeling fat, I'll bump up the cardio. If I'm feeling scrawny start lifting heavier. There is always something to do and work on.
I want to stay lean and proportioned. Having dealt with weight and body image issues, I don't step on a scale, but I think I would like to put on some more muscle, not a ton. I try to keep my body fat % low ideally between 6-7%.
The work and focus he puts into his body is astounding. And he always seems to maintain a postive attitude. I question whether he is actually human, but regardless I am inspired to feed off his energy!
Day 1: Chest and Back

Day 2: 60min hard cardio

Day 4: 60min hard cardio

I tend to do ab work every day but more on day 5.
five years are quite long man ... WOW you're swimmer and water polo player !! that's so koool bro. Wish your future coming is direct what u real need. Stay in tough bro / Moslem
strain. Once I hit my lean mass goal I will cutting till im crazy ripped and just maintaining that for life. The plan anyway. . . .so just a little bit more time in comparison
putting weight on stresses me out as well. but just remember, being chubby (or that extra body fat) that comes with putting on weight isnt "cute" either. Cut is definatley the way to be. Unfortunatley getting bigger takes way more time than getting thin does. I was 100lbs when I started so I was SKINNY. you my friend are not. your in shape. I have had to deal with being fat for the past 2 years when I have been accustomed to low body fat my entire life - that alone is a mental
in all honesty, im having the same problem as well. I am probably not growing . . .or if I am, not in the right way. . . . but even still, your "solid" at that weight, at least you look it
If im not in the mood to eat . . I just make sure im drinking 500ml of milk, if its white, it has about 30g of carbs 18g of protein + I add a scoop of whey, or if its after a workout its chocolate milk which has double the surgar . but you look huge. not to mention your cut which is WAYYYY BETTER
thanks for the add man! awesome... i do 2 spin classes a week! really loving it! how often you teach? how much cardio do you have cmpared to weights? would be cool if you got chat, to catchup and learn techniques sometme bro! thanks again...
Thanks, bro. Actually, I do have a dieting-related question. My university cafeteria offers a myriad of vegetarian options but not many healthy meat options, like fish and chicken; my question is, what are some high protein content vegetarian options I could turn to when they;re not serving fish or chicken? If you know, or can point me in the direction of someone who knows, I'd be very grateful. Thanks again. Andret.
