Insurance stuff but more importantly, a wife and a mom!!

Gym Location:

When I Started:
Aug, 2007
How I Started:
I have always been active but not necessarily healthy. After reading a few of my husband's M&F magazines, I realized I could be so much better. I have two daughters and a stepdaughter and I want to set a good example for them.
Why I Love It:
I don't love it but I like seeing the results of my efforts. Now I hate it when I'm not sore the day after working out. I really feel like my time in the gym has been worthwhile when I feel like I could kick someone's butt on my way out the door. :)
How I Stay Motivated:
My husband is always encouraging me to push harder. His commitment to reaching his goal is awesome. The people here on bodyspace are awesome motivators - especially the moms - I know how tough it is to take care of yourself when you have others depending on you too. We're getting it done and that rocks!
BB Accomplishments:
None. I have no desire to compete. I do this for me and with the hope that my girls will learn healthy habits from their parents. Of course I want to look good for my dude, too!!

This pic was taken 2 months after I started working out with weights.
Stop cheatin on the diet dang it!!! Oh yeah, it's a nutritional strategy and not a diet...
Goal (Long):
My husband (franchise28) is training for a competition so I've been tagging along picking up pointers from his nutritionist & trainer, Mark Pruss. I thought I was just getting started before and now I'm really getting started with a better understanding of what to eat together, what to eat by itself, what not to eat, and how to workout to achieve my specific goals. Weight is just a number (so is age!!) and I'm more focused on how healthy I am and how I look rather than what the scale says. It's so hard not to get frustrated when the scale doesn't reflect my hard work - guess it's a girl thing.
Great another girl on here befriended me!! thank you..it's nice to see another girl on here every once in a while! Thanks and take care and good luck..
