Thinking back I was never really into being healthy, or working out growing up. It wasnt't until my daughter was born and I found myself overweight, unhappy and in the midst of a custody battle 7 months later that I stepped foot into the gym. The gym became my outlet.
Why I Love It:
I can't narrow it down to one single reason.. bodybuilding does so much for me (far more then I can ever do for it!). It gives me an opportunity to be a wonderful rolemodel for my daughter, it gives me an awesome outlet for my stressful and chaotic events that life throws me, it makes me feel strong, it gives me confidence... I could go on and on...
How I Stay Motivated:
Once upon a time I promised myself to NEVER, EVER give up... recently I also promised myself and my daughter to never accept second best, that stands for anything I do in life (bodybuilding included!)- I will give it my all!!!
BB Accomplishments:
My biggest accomplishment was/is maintaining the same frame of mind to not quit and keep pushing harder and harder everyday. My other is probably the balancing act I had when I first started working out as a single and working mother of an infant. Not to mention loosing 50 lbs during a nasty custody battle. I have hit many HUGE accomplishments and some smaller ones- I celebrate EVERY ONE of them.

The past 7 months of my life have been a roller coaster for me. I have been through divorce, 3 moves (about to have one more), a major promotion with work followed by being laid off (damn the real estate market!), to now, having to re-define who it is I am and who it is I want to be. In looking back the past 7 months I have only given a half ass attempt at really pushing myself in bodybuilding- now its time to use all the pain I have endured for good- time to use it as the push with bodybuilding!
Mission find direction is on its way! The past few days I have on purpose not committed myself to anyone or anything, kept my cell phone off... I visited the local bookstore and the library, hit the beach a few times - took my beautiful daughter camping... and I must say it was camping in which...
The next 2 months will consist of a variety of workouts that normally I would NOT do! All of those great workouts I find in Oxygen but always chicken out when it comes down to trying it, I am going to dive into a few yoga and pilates sessions and some more...
