When I Started:
Dec, 2002
How I Started:
Thinking back I was never really into being healthy, or working out growing up. It wasn't until my daughter was born and I found myself overweight, unhappy and in the midst of a custody battle 7 months later that I stepped foot into the gym. The gym became my outlet. That was in 2002.
Why I Love It:
Training is the only spot I feel amazing regardless of what else is going on in my life, I walk in feeling like crap, walk out feeling sexy, strong and confident, and that folks is priceless! It gives me an opportunity to be a wonderful role-model for my daughter, lead by example. It is my outlet for stress, pissed off.. go box for 30 minutes, you feel better!
How I Stay Motivated:
First off, I love it! I train through soreness, through injury (taking the proper precautions of course), train through stress, train just to do it. I stepped into this lifestyle knowing it would be work but also knowing I would never break my promise to myself, I will never give up. Other minor sources, are my bodyspace friends, the great group of trainers at my gym, Oxygen Magazine and by my daughter loving the daycare there..
BB Accomplishments:
My biggest accomplishment was/is maintaining the same frame of mind to not quit and keep pushing harder and harder everyday. My other is probably the balancing act I had when I first started working out as a single and working mother of an infant. Not to mention loosing 50 lbs during a nasty custody battle. I have hit many HUGE accomplishments and some smaller ones- I celebrate EVERY ONE of them.

To read her story and to know how far she has come and what she has overcome and you can't help but be inspired by her. She is amazing and an all natural (no steroids or otherwise) athlete and I aspire to achieve the will power she has.
