How I Started:
Working Out - looking for a new exercise regime, had let it go for about 10 years and wasn't happy with myself. Started again a few years ago but let it go for 15 months when posted to a remote area with limited facilities, Again was serious for 12 months until a few injuries plus visitors distracted me.
Why I Love It:
not sure that i do - it's a bit of a love hate relationship. Some days when I feel good and lifting well, improving my lifts it's worth it. Other days - when I don't want to be there it sucks. That said, I feel frustrated when I miss workouts
How I Stay Motivated:
A desire to be fit for my wife and children. The youngest is 3 yrs old so I will be 65 when she turns 18. My boy is 18 and I'm trying to keep in front of him for as long as possible (old bull - young bull)

love handles still a concern, the tape tells me that the waist is narrower and the scales say I've lost a couple of kilos but the photo ....
rediscover my waist line, be happy to be shirtless
Goal (Long):
To get my weight back down to what it was in my late 20's - about the 94 kg mark. At that point reassess my goals - at some point Abs would be nice, last had those when I was 30 and running about 20 miles a week plus other workouts. No longer possess any ACLs and some arthritis in knees so running is not an option.
back into the gym, was stunned to see that I hadn't been for 3 months, winter in tropical Australia is glorious but it means lots of visitors and lots of distractions. Big decisions like go fishing / boating or go to the gym, sit on beach with beer and pizza and my adult children or go to...
I've drafted up a new work program as I want to lift my intensity in the gym. It includes a number of supersets to ensure I don't spend too long in the gym
Hey guy!! I usually wish everyone on my friends list a great weekend but thought I'd change things up and wish everyone a stellar week so...have a great week my friend!!
I lift very heavy, if she is lean and mean already, heavy will round her out. She doesnt sound like she has the bodytype that will get bulky!! I'm 5'3" and weigh 115-120 and lift as heavy as possible sometimes
Thanks for stopping by. Read your profile and I think your 'How I stay motivated' reasoning is great and should be quite motivating. Good luck with your goals.
