How I Started:
2007 was when I realized I was overweight and needed to start working on my health and fitness. I was a thin girl when I was younger, always active and involved in sports. At the age of 27 I noticed and started caring about what I ate because what I was eating caught up to me. My body was not healthy. My metabolism wasn’t as fast anymore as when I was teens. I finally woke up to realize this. I was a woman that needed to work hard to be fit. I had been athletic all my life and worked at a couple of gyms. I played fast-pitch softball, basketball, and used to run and cycle for fun. I maintained a certain weight throughout my late teens because of the sports I played in. I missed being fit and having that fast metabolism. After my teen years, and was college bound. “The freshman 15” showed up during college. I didn’t notice the unwanted weight gain until my junior year in college. I went out and abused my body with junk food and going out every weekend with alcohol. My diet used to consist of pizza, chips, candy bars, greasy Mexican food, pasta (lots of it), cookies, soda, alcohol and cake. I would drink water on occasion but would have rather have soda or fruit drinks; anything with lots of sugar in it. The combination of over eating, greasy, sugar and salt infested food is what made me the way I was and I was not a happy camper. I need a change and I needed that change as soon as yesterday (as the saying goes).

its always been my way of relieving stress..plus it always gives me a positive boost.
