When I Started:
Jun, 2008
How I Started:
I was surprisingly diagnosed with heart disease in Sept 07 and have struggled with it this past year; so I started training again to get myself healthier.
Why I Love It:
After the first few months of making me tired, I'm finally starting to feel the extra energy I hear everyone always talking about. It's awesome!
How I Stay Motivated:
When I wanna quit I just think about summer and how good it'll feel to put on ANY of my swimsuits! Also my husband competes so I wanna look good at the shows!
Taken at the start of my re-training after an 8 yr break! I took this pic in May, but didnt start training til June 11.
Ok, dont laugh. I have VERY wimpy arms and this pic is me after doing a shoulder workout. I've been trying to train heavy, so I'll post another in a couple weeks to see if it shows.

I do a short ab workout 3x /week. my obliques are coming along but I have a stubborn glazed donut around my belly button. I can suck it in and make it look good but when I breath - there it is. Is this just a diet thing? cuz I do feel some muscle under the squish-yness,. I've...
Good Luck in reaching all you future goals!Show the world BB.com rocks. Vote for me as model of the month at http://www.worldphysique.com/v otemale.html Thanks for your support!
LOL!! I seem to be able to stay on track 2 out of 4 weeks of the month! DAMN PMDD!! I wish I had some suggestions for recipes... I just keep eating the same thing over and over again because it makes my life a little simpler. I know what you mean about seeing little progress. I am at least able to see some numbers fall on the scale but I'm still kicking myself because I keep getting in my own way. Why DOES food have to taste so good?!?!? Let's get back on track together, girlie! :)
CC, thank you for your kind comments. I have been doing front, lateral and rear raises for my delt/shoulders. I have wimpy arms naturally, so it took me a while to see progress in them...your doing great, just keep your focus and it will come!
Just a small confession, I fell off the wagon, and it's been rolling back and forth over me, and told me that if I don't get my a** back on it, it's never going to let me live it down!! I'm in such a F-U-N-K!!! Cannot keep myself motivated to eat well, and I have no desire to workout. Anyway, just thought I'd complain a little to you, kind of hoping you're in the same boat! I have at least maintained my weight, but I really should be losing it. I think I'm just ready for warmer weather...
Just checking in to see how you're doing. I've been suffering from tailbone pain the past 2 weeks, and am scheduled to see a doc next week. Needless to say, it's choking my workouts!! I'm seriously eating Advil! DH and I just got a membership to a gym though so I've got to get my butt in there and see what the whole gym experience is like! Hope all is well with you and that you are still rockin' your training!!
hey dude, whats-a-happening??...
yeah, Im just trying to stay busy. Hopefully things will settle down soon, I think they will. Getting back to my routine, feels real good. Sounds silly but my gym kinda feels like home-I missed being there. Its kinda small and its not crowded when I go, so its like my place or something. haha, just trying to stay lean, spring will be here soon,,..wooohoo! almost time for flip flops and tanks again... : )
Hey girlie! Thanks for the Turbo Tea tip!! I will definitely give it a shot. I really could've used it for the workout I just finished! Man, I am dragging today. But, I still got it done! It always feels good afterward, even if I don't go into it feeling so pumped. What about you?
Also wanted at add that I second what you said about the dressing room lighting. I had that problem this weekend, too! You would think that stores would realize that they would sell more stuff if they'd put more flattering lighting in there!! LOL
Good for you!! I've stuck with it consistently for the past 5 weeks now, 3x each week. I am so proud to look at the calendar and see all the days that I've worked out, and to see it a little in the mirror now, too. OMG! I know. I saw them at Target and I can't wait to get in one! Keep it up, girlie! :)
I know how difficult it is to get back into your groove again after being sick. I'm sure your Hubby helps keep you motivated, though and is a great source of knowledge and support. Have a great Christmas, and don't beat yourself up too much if you give in to a cookie or 2! :) Take care!
I think the pm side is having trouble..anyway, stay away from those dreaded cookies! ugh, u cant have just one, lol-at least i cant. I went to a party on Fri and hung around the cheese/carrot tray, wasnt easy lol. oh yeah, the contest...no word from it, nada. Cant even find a mention of it in the new issues. oh well, it gave me the push I needed. I didnt want to win anyway, remember the "before" pics?? lol. Keep me updated k girlie?
