I BEGAN LIFTING BACK IN 2001 AND QUIT FOR 4 YEARS. I WENT TO COLLEGE, GOT MARRIED BOUGHT A HOUSE AND HAD VERY LITTLE TIME TO GET BACK IN THE GYM. WELL...THINGS HAVE SLOWED DOWN AND ITS BACK ON WITH A CONTEST FOR 2009 AS MY GOAL.

ACCOMPLISHMENTS? HMM...WELL IM SHOOTING FOR THE PANHANDLE SHOWDOWN IN 2009 AFTER BEING OFF FOR FOUR YEARS. SO WE WILL SEE, OVER ALL IT IS AN ACCOMPLISHMENT TO FEEL HEALTHY AND IN SHAPE.

Goal (Long):
I WANT TO SEE WHAT KIND OF FUN I CAN HAVE DOING COMPETITIONS. I HAVE NEVER DONE ONE BUT I WANT TO GET IN AND SEE WHAT I CAN DO WITH IT WHILE HAVING A BLAST.
SEPTEMBER 27 2008, WELL...IM BEGINNING TO SEE SOME STRENGTH GAINS COMING BACK NOW. REALLY FOCUSING MORE ON BACK AND LEGS AT THE MOMENT. STILL THICK AT 220 LBS WONT REALLY WORRY ABOUT THE WEIGHT SHEDDING OFF UNTIL JANUARY. FOUR YEARS OF NOT LIFTING AND COMING BACK WITH A SHOW AS A GOAL IS A BIG...
Gotta go heavy with those squats. During my growth phase all I do is squats and/or leg presses. Heavy weight, low reps, with 2-3minutes of rest between sets. Go Hard!!
My only cardio is pt on Mon, Wed, and Friday mornings. I don't really count cardio as much though. For my first comp I didn't do any cardio. It's all from the diet!
i see, well good luck with your training. You will be ready by April! When I lived in Pensacola I was not a member of a commercial gym (I was still in high school lol). I worked out in our garage at home or at school (when i was on the basketball/track teams)
Yeah I know Mitch from previous shows. He's got an impressive physique and he's the fuel of my motivation.
No love lost with the pic comments, this is the reason for posting them. My physique is on point right now but I'll delay in posting anymore updates until 2 weeks out. Gotta keep the competitors wondering how I'm going to look on 11/25/08.
Hey bro - first off great physique, great thickness and judging by the photos you're dieting down well. As for my legs, really nothing special, just stick to the basics. Only thin I do do slightly differently is train them over two seperate workouts -- 1. quads and calves (say on Wednesday) & 2. hams and calves (on Saturday).
I have off/ on season workouts. Off season, heavy ass weight with low sets/ reps. On season, 6 sets X 30 reps at light height. I train my back every 4th day or workout.
I got my greatest gains with squats and leg extensions. You gotta go heavy!!!! I should be updating my progress pics real soon so stay tuned. I've made some good gains and should be a little thicker than I was at the Panhandle Showdown. I'll let you decide though. Are you in a bulk phase right now? Good luck with your contest prep.
I was doing cardio 6 day a week 1 hr to loose weight and 5 day weight training.Women realy need to do cardio.Now I still do 5 day a week 45 minutes.But rememnber 80% is diet.
