In January of 2006 I started to feel the effects of eating big lunches and not exercising. Coupled with the fact that I have a pretty stressful job (nevermind I didn't sleep right), it began taking a toll on me. I was feeling bad and I knew why (I had gained 30 lbs in 2.5 years - mostly fat in my stomach.) So I decided to quit drinking sodas, clean up my diet, and start working out. I lost 25 pounds in 4 months. I went from 175 in Jan 2006 to 150 by the end of May 2006. Now I'm trying to gain muscle and I'm back up to 175.
Why I Love It:
I love the pump and the challenge. I attended a body building competition for the first time in July 2007 (NGA Southern States) and I was really impressed by the atmosphere and awesome physiques of all who competed.
How I Stay Motivated:
My wife, Pumping Iron movie, Arnold, seeing awesome transformations and physiques, attending my first bodybuilding show on July 14th 2007, and my great personal trainer, Andy Hughes.
BB Accomplishments:
None so far, but I want to be the size of a middleweight natural bodybuilder.
I want to be the size of a middleweight natural bodybuilder.
Goal (Long):
I've been a bean pole my entire life. I didn't suffer the emotional scars that some skinny people report. I didn't get pushed around or picked on (at least not in a mean way.) I'm tired of being small. I want people to look at me and say, "man, he's buff!", instead of "man, he's so skinny!"
Thanks so much for the friendship invite Joseph, I appreciate it! Best wishes for much success on your training. Please drop by anytime, I enjoy getting to know my friends and following their progress. Have a nice week ~ Jen
