When I Started:
Feb, 2006
How I Started:
I started lifting weights around the age of 14. I continued until I got married and had kids at the age of 23. After 10 years of marriage, we divorced and my life went to hell due to my alcohol and drug abuse. However, I can happily say that, by the grace of God, I haven't had a drink or drug since January 03, 2005. I decided to get back into lifting and do something positive with my life. I had always wanted to compete but circumstances (mainly alcohol and drugs) always prevented me from accomplishing my dreams. With the help of God, I will now achieve those dreams.
Why I Love It:
It is just me, the iron, and the force of gravity. The feeling I get when I overcome the gravitional forces with a personal record lift....PRICELESS!
How I Stay Motivated:
The never ending quest of getting bigger and stronger. Seeing the numbers in the log book get bigger and bigger.
BB Accomplishments:
Placing in the top 5 in all classes in my first year (2007) of competing.

This was taken at the beginning of my cutting phase after a 12 week mass (in reality a fat a@@ from eating way too much by not counting nutritional values) phase. I weighed 209 here.
Description: 275 for 3 reps on my road back to regaining strength lost due to surgeries in 2007. This was at Metro Fitness in Columbus, OH on March 1, 2008, working out with Jeff, http://bodyspace.bodybuilding.com/jacked inMI/

Why I like this video: When times get tough God will get you through. Sometimes it just seems He is not there when you need Him. But ask and He will give you a sign, in due time!
2004 Tampa Bay Classic Posing Routine
Played: 218
Why I like this video: Layne Norton showing what a Natural Bodybuilder looks like at his finest. You can still be big and not do drugs to get there. Layne is truly an inspiration to me.
Warhawk Matt Scott in Nike 'No Excuses' Commercial
Played: 115
Why I like this video: Excuses, Excuses, Excuses....there is only one that is really acceptable and that is, "I have no excuse!" 10 most powerful 2 letter words..."IF IT IS TO BE, IT IS UP TO ME!" Ain't nobody gonna do it for ya!
Who's going to be at the Arnold Classic next month? Looking forward to meeting some of my fellow bodyspacer's! Met a few last year and hoping to meet more this year.
I am now in DC working as a personal trainer and trying to prepare to step back on stage later this year at the NPC...
Hey Bobby, just checking in. How are you doing? I've been marching along and adding lean mass. I'll keep at it until Jan 1 then it's time to start cutting for contest season starting in April. -Jeff
Hey Bobby, I did not place top five in the open middleweight class so I need to wait a few days to see where I ended up. BTW, you look on track for your comp in your latest progress pics. Especially with your legs. -Jeff
hey guy you are training for a competition? great where is it and when. keep me informed I will definitely be rootin for you
hope this finds you well and now, definitely stayin focused
Thanks Bobby! I've been tanning and working around the house a lot so my color is looking pretty good. Cals are at 1,000-1,200/day currently. I'm keeping track of my food intake with another Excel spreadsheet. Weight is at 162# so I am on my way to 154.25# I've also been getting out on the trails with the mountain bike so cardio has been improved since the March show. Are you in contest prep mode now? If so, how's it going? -Jeff
Excellent! I'm glad to see that you are in contest prep mode, Bobby. My prep is going very well. I am already at the condition I was 4 weeks out from my first comp. Hopefully this translates to better looking lower abs! -Jeff
