How I Started:
I have been weight training for nearly 40 years and have made good progress over that tiome. But I have been limited by my job and its only recently that I have taken up competitive Bodybuilding.
Why I Love It:
It keeps me in very good shape to the extent that Many people msny years younger wish they could be in the same condition. It helps me to be very lively. I feel great and I can still do those things thant men 30 years younger can do
How I Stay Motivated:
Becomes part of my lifes routine. There is a great atmosphere at the gym and competing keeps me focussed
BB Accomplishments:
I have entered 6 competitions over the last one and a half years.In 2006 my first competition was Mr Anglia - over 50 and came 3rd.Then Mr England where I came fourth and Novice Mr Britain where I came 2nd. In 2007 I entered the Midlands and came 3rd. came 1st in The Mr Anglia and again came 2nd in the Novice Mr. Britain (18th. Nov) beating two competitiors who were 10 years younger than me.
Barry, Very inspirational development, both in contest condition and in off-season shape. Also, thanks for providing a video update of your contest prep on YouTube. Best of luck as you count down the weeks. Can't wait for the next update.

Hi Barry, Just read your profile as "Over 40 BBer" what an inspoiration! Unlike you, I have beem overweight and out of shape most of my life but I hope that when I am your age (in 4 years) I can be on stage too! Keep up the great work!
