How I Started:
I was on the couch eating chips & having a pop when my dad came home with a weight bench he picked up second hand along with weights. Also, when I started high school & was tired of being picked on because of my weight.
Why I Love It:
The pleasure, the pump & the pain. Knowing you've hit a brick wall & all you do is knock it down instead of staying still.

How I Stay Motivated:
I stay motivated by knowing that I am only trying to better myself. Seeing progress pictures each week is very encouraging to push harder the next week.

-In 2003 I weighted 310lbs & 5 years later I've dropped 100lbs & ran a 6 minute mile.

Dealing with my weight has always been a struggle. My overall goal is to reduce my overall body fat percentage & replace it with lean muscle.

YES its strange because the scale change just a littlebit but the physical change dont stop...i belive im at the same stage than you...the only thing im worry its the BF%...its so hard to go down i need to lose approx 5 lbs for lose 1%..im shure i need to go down at 200 for having great result. after its more easy to count the muscle weight i was add....dont stop Matt you doing a great job......
During your 5 year Transform, when did you really kick it into gear? I was 305 in 2006, lost weight just being away from college and adding exercising (not very consistent). Now, 2009, changed eating life and kicked my workouts into high gear, and seeing some good results already. Any advice on how you did it? How long?
