How I Started:
I was on the couch eating chips & having a pop when my dad came home with a weight bench he picked up second hand along with weights. Also, when I started high school & was tired of being picked on because of my weight.
Why I Love It:
The pleasure, the pump & the pain. Knowing you've hit a brick wall & all you do is knock it down instead of staying still.

How I Stay Motivated:
I stay motivated by knowing that I am only trying to better myself. Seeing progress pictures each week is very encouraging to push harder the next week.

BB Accomplishments:
-In 2003 I weighted 310lbs & 5 years later I have dropped 100lbs.
-Stopped drinking & lost an additional 50lbs

Goal (Long):
Dealing with my weight has always been a struggle. I have currently lost 100lbs in 5 years. My overall goal is to reduce my overall body fat percentage & replace it with lean muscle. If I can do these things in 2008, then 2009 will be my year I enter a bodybuilding competition.

I've been seriously taping into my self control and motivating myself to say away from those ever so good "bad foods". Even if it was just a quick fix. I have been concentrating on my diet ever since end April & have tweaked it here and there. I allow a 'cheat meal' every 10-14...
Incline Bench Press> 3 sets of 6 reps & 1 set of 25 reps
Bench Press> 3 sets of 6 reps & 1 set of 25 reps
Incline flye> 3 sets of 6 reps & 1 set of 25 reps
Weighted dip> 3 sets of 6 reps
Body weight dip> 1...
Things are going very well here. Enjoying the gym alot right now and very happy with the direction I'm going. Cool on the winter/spring show, you'll have to keep me up to date :)
THANKS! WELL ALL YOU NEED IS TO BE ABLE TO TRAVEL TO THE PRO QUAL, SHOWS AND THEN WIN THE OVERALL AT THAT SHOW. ITS JUST A LOT OF TRAVEL, SO IF YOU LOW ON CASH ITS JUST HARD TO GO GET THERE.
i use a tanning bed. the outdoors will give you imbalances unless you are planning on sunbathing nude :)
Protan is a brush on paint. Use a foam brush for best application. Use a large one to make it faster.
Good luck with your plans. The most important thing you can do is go attend a local show to see the type of physique you need to bring (very different from a "gym body"). As for the bulking, don't let it get out of control, just a calorie surplus but stay pretty lean.
It tans alright doesnt completely clear up but thats ok its a choice i made years ago and now im stuck with it and as far as getting deducted points not sure all I know is that it wasnt enough to keep me from winning the two shows i was in so i guess it wasnt that big of a concern, I see you have a couple if you planned to compete dont worry about the tatts bro just come in your best and you will do great your friend industrialfreak "F*ck the beach muscles, bring on the freak muscles"
ur an achiever. I wont be surprised to see u on stage takin first place if u keep going with what ur doing. u seem to have taken the weight off, now its just the building of muscle that will take care of the rest for you
Thank you :) Your progress is awesome! Even though your weight is nearly the same from one year ago....your body is totally different. You've lost bodyfat and gained some nice lean muscle mass, nicely done. Hey, I see you live in Ontario, too....nice to see another neighbour on here!
