When I Started:
Jan, 2002
How I Started:
After seeing the twin towers fall and seeing the people who did it worked out before they got on the plane I decided if I was ever in that position they weren't gonna take me without a fight. Now it's just become part of my life.
Why I Love It:
Like the new look and the way it feels.
How I Stay Motivated:
A friend of mine from work keeps me going if I don't feel like it. Most days I'm good to go though.
I haven't taken new pictures in about a month or 2 but I know I've shed a few pounds and my waist is a little smaller and I'm looking a little tighter as well. But I had 4 separate people today asking me how much weight I've lost and how good I look. Now these people I haven't seen since...
I am flexible to go to the grass, but the deeper we go on squats, the more stress on the knees, which is why I haven't pushed for depth. Parallel should be enough, I hope.
I added pullups to my back routine about 6 weeks ago as a warm up exercise. Right now I have only been doing wide grip pullups. I plan to add weighted pullups after I reach a goal of 50 pullups in only 2 sets. When I first started it took me 5 sets to do 50 reps, as of this past tues. it only took 3 sets. Progress!!!!!!
thanks for the shout out man. you've got some solid times. impressed by your motivation, too. and when I find those b!tches we call abs, i'll let you know. LOL
nice guns in the avi man. how's your training going? 14 miles is a haul. I just started running. doing about 5 miles per day in the hopes to start shredding. how are your times going in training?
That September run sounds look a good one. Good luck with your training. If you can try to complete a training run of about 11-12 miles 10-14 days before and you should be good to go.
Thanks for the comment on my blog! I just reupped my gym membership about a month ago, so I plan to go back to using it this fall. Good luck on your run!
