How I Started:
I have been been an active hiker, backpacker and mountain climber my entire life.
I only starting lifting a few years ago after reading Body for Life.
I have been skinny all my life and I am on a mission to gain mass and bulk.
Why I Love It:
Working out helps me block out the other stresses of life. I enjoy how I feel during and after working out. It gives me self-confidence about the way I look and feel.
How I Stay Motivated:
People here keep me motivated. I chart my progress so I can see results. Progress pics also keep me motivated and let me know anything is possible.

It's always good to take a vacation once in a while even if you don't go anywhere. I do that sometimes so I don't get burned out with the gym. You'll be fine.

i agree, i do the same thing. Worst part is men trying to chat to me and make conversation, i dont want to be mean but i cant keep my heart rate up if i am constantly interrupted! I am working right now, and looking up healthy supper recipes.
do definalty not weird, i do the same thing, i usually put my headphone in even if i am not listening to music that way no one bothers me. i figure i am paying to workout not chat, i can do that anytime and for free =)
