Overall Goal: My short goal is to get down to about 4% just to take pics and say I was there. I would like to stay that way long-term but it's just not healthy.
Fit Status:
balco8 has not entered a Fit Status.
Ask balco8 for an update.
I got into weightlifting when I was in high school for the purpose of bulking up for football, wrestling, and impressing the women.
Why I Love It:
I love working out because of the adrenaline and energy it gives you. It makes you feel good about yourself in many aspects of life. I feel very weird if I miss a workout. I certainly try not to miss.
How I Stay Motivated:
I've always been very motivated. Seeing the results from the work and sweat you pour into achieving goals and how much it keeps you looking young is motivation in itself. I pride myself on only attaining my goals on my own abilities and genetics. I've never resorted to using any drugs at any time in my life. I believe if I can't get it on my own, then I don't want it.
BB Accomplishments:
Well, I've never competed in any contests, despite urging by some of my friends, but non-competitively, i'd have to say the goals i've reached becoming more defined and getting to a steady 6.5% bodyfat while retaining most of my lean mass. I went from a solid 215 lbs. down to my current 185 lbs.

Jesus Joey! You sure have kept up the bodybuilding since high school! I wish I had- let's just say I have a cool place to rest my soda can while I'm watching t.v.! Keep up the great work my friend!
Heyo Joey. Going out onstage was a huge rush, because I knew I was ready and wanted to show myself off. It also helped to practice my posing in the aerobics room at the Y where I was lifting. Other people would be in stretching and such, and I was shy at first. But I realized I better stop being self conscious because soon enough I would be out in front of hundreds of strangers. When I had that epiphany it became a lot easier to pose in front of anyone.
