I first started working out on a home made wooden bench press my uncle made for my older brother. I was really too young to know what I was doing. We then got a junior set which I used up until my senior year of high school. After graduation I still used this bench. I got an Olympic size bench a few years later.
Why I Love It:
It makes you look awesome. You can lift things that most other people can't.
How I Stay Motivated:
I watch Pumping Iron or any other bad movies with Arnold Schwarzenegger, Sylvester Stallone, or Jean Claude Van Damme in them. Really bad songs help too.
What celebrity body would you most like to have? Why?
Arnold Schwarzenegger was really good but I'm not sure I would want to be that big. Maybe Jean Claude Van Damme but with a bigger chest because my chest is already really good and I wouldn't want it smaller. Steve Reeves perhaps.Arnold Schwarzenegger was really good but I'm not sure I would want to be that big. Have you ever had a lifting injury?
Yes
What type of injury was it? How long were you injured? How did you recover?
Muscle spasm in my neck. The first one that happened I think I was 14. The second I think I was 22. Both occurred while doing bench press. The second one lasted like 2 weeks and I had to get my neck popped to get the pain to go away.Muscle spasm in my neck. The first one that happened I think I was 14. The second I think I was 22. What is the most common reason that somebody gets injured while lifting?
Hey Donovan,
You have a great physique and can only get better. In BB, it's the physique that you want that matters- so hang in there and keep up the good work- you have great potential in BB.
