When I Started:
Oct, 2007
How I Started:
I started lifting weights with my dad when I was in middleschool, but I never really got serious until I went to college. I attended the Culinary Institute of America for about 8 months; that experience ended badly, so I had to re-think the game plan. I attended Basic Training in Jan. 08' and worked off everything I had accomplished from the gym. My attempt and re-building was so-so when I arrived at my duty station, but didn't take off again until I deployed to Iraq Feb. 09'. This deployment, for me, marks my true beginning, and I will continue my journey until I no longer can.
Why I Love It:
Because it is a release. The only time I feel like I am in total control is in the gym. Also because it is solely upon the individual to better themselves and their physique, so there are no excuses. I feel like its one of the best ways to show others my motivation, and success. Fitness and working out is the type of lifestyle I can't get enough of.
How I Stay Motivated:
By keeping track of my lifts...and the pure satisfaction of stacking more plates on the bar. The way working out makes me feel on a daily basis and the attention I get because of it gives me incredible motivation.
BB Accomplishments:
well...none so far. I've always wanted to try my luck in competition, hopefully someday soon I'll stop getting deployed so I can get some time to devote FULLY towards competitions, but for now its just training.

put more mass on my tri's, and get my lower legs in gear.
Goal (Long):
Before I leave Iraq, I want abs that resemble something like a brick wall, bigger bi's and tri's; lets say another inch of total arm mass. I want more size on my calves, and better definition as well. Larger back spread. ALOT OF WORK TO DO!
Ava's solid mid-section and definition brings a tear to my eye, absolutely flawless. Its people like Ava, that make me never want to leave the gym. Dips with a chain?!...nothing else need be said.
She's 17....and...yea shes 17. The Shaun White of the IFBB, awesome physique and shes half the age. Makes you wish you had the kind of early intro to fitness...and you were that good at it. It definitely makes me want to work harder. Oh...and she's from NY, which is what I like to consider as part of New England lol Being stationed in TX you never get the chance to meet or talk to anybody doing big things from up north, thanks ariel!
Which pro bodybuilder/fitness/figure competitor has the ideal physique? Why?
Lee Priest would have to be my top pick. He's a small guy like me, but has crazy size. His standing pose with both arms over his head flexed is probably one of the dopest poses I've ever seen, and only a short guy can pull it off. What do you do before your workout to get motivated and energized?
I picture the lifts and exercises in my mind, and turn on some Lamb Of God. I do whatever I have to do; jump up and down, pushups, headbang, whatever works to get my heart pumping and ready for some no b/s shreddage.I picture the lifts and exercises in my mind, and turn on some Lamb Of God.
