My brother first got me interested in it while I was in highschool. During my senior year, I ended up starting to go the YMCA near my house around 4 or 5 times a week and did free weights and some calisthenics.
Why I Love It:
What's not to love? I love seeing how much I can do for concentration curls with dumbbells. So far the highest I've attempted is 70 lb dumbbells (both sitting with elbow on leg as well as on the preacher curl bench).
How I Stay Motivated:
As I see people around me getting in worse and worse shape, I think how I want to avoid turning into them. I go because I love going and the compliments I receive from friends, family, and complete strangers (funny but it happens).

What type of injury was it? How long were you injured? How did you recover?
I either tore the muscle in my shoulder or dislocated it (left shoulder). It took me around a month to fully recover. Directly after that I took a week off from going to the gym, since I couldn't even lift my left arm really. I went to the doctor around 4 days after it happened when it wasn't getting much better. He just prescribed me something like 500mg Naproxen and advised me to only take it for 3 days because it could screw up my body by taking too much. I still don't know what I did because I didn't bother to get it an ex ray or anything like that. This all happened back when I was only a few months in, so being the idiot that I was I hadn't taken the steps to work on my stabilization. So I was on my 3rd (doing 12 reps each set) set of dumbbell bench press using 50 lb dumbbells, when I got to rep 11 I felt like I couldn't do any more but just told myself come on just one more, so I got it up and then my left shoulder collapsed and I heard a huge tearing/cracking sound come from my arm. Not fun, very painful. I either tore the muscle in my shoulder or dislocated it (left shoulder). It took me around a month to fully recover. Lifting more than they can handle, or bad form.

What is the most dangerous weightlifting exercise? Why?
That's hard to say, they can all be dangerous depending on how developed and under developed a persons body parts are. I would have to say Olympic style power cleans.
