Overall Goal: I want to gain muscle and loose the remaining flab around my waist. I'd like to have a body like Michael Phelps.

When I Started:

How I Started:
I did some swimming and wrestling in junior high school and I've always wanted to stay in shape since, but was never motivated enough to stick to a routine. Then I developed severe muscle spasms in my neck and upper back. I saw a chiropractor, which helped, but I kept having to go back, so I decided to do exercises to support my neck and back and have had very little pain in that area since.
Why I Love It:
I love the way I look and feel after a workout.
How I Stay Motivated:
Pain avoidance mainly, but I am also encouraged by my results so far.

100%beef inspires me because we are the same age and seeing what he has accomplished in such a short time shows me that with hard work and dedication I too can reach my goals. He also has one of the most complete BodySpaces I've seen. If I want to see an example of how a BodySpace element should be done, I look at his space. Plus there is a lot of helpful information there.
I have made some changes this month. I started a regular aerobics routine of wunning (walk/running as opposed to Ralking run/walking) 5 days a week. I also added some bench exercises and some pull ups. I also found an excellent article on posing at http://www.bodybuilding.com/fun/mark9.ht m to...
Wow, your working hard mate! Great effort!
My routine is just 2 muscles groups every two days and trying to increase the weight and lower the reps. I got the home gym set up-so nothing fancy but a bench, decline and an old school cable machine in the shed for lat pulldowns:) Keep up the good work!cheers
I say yes. I lift both ways. as you can see I am in need of definition and weight loss. I lift light to medium and multi reps. I am going to start heavy weights and less reps next week. I am not out to be a competitor, I just want to look good have muscle defined and feel great

bodies take time to mold :) ... don't get down if at times you don't see the progress you hoped for. Just keep plugging along. From here it looks like you've already got the 'trim and fit' part taking care that most of your peers are struggling to achieve (yours truly included). Now it's adding muscle to that.
damn guy you look awesome. it is not easy for guys our age to keep in shape. we have to show these kids in here that we still have it.
