When I Started:
May, 2006
How I Started:
Just finally said enough is enough. Was tired of being tired, overweight. Started by cutting out pop beginning of last year and eating better. Started regular exercise in May '06. Started on Beach Body's Power 90 and upgraded to Power 90 Master Series in August. So far I have lost almost 45 lbs, dropped froma sixe 38 to size 34 waist. I am currently at 17% body fat, going for 9%.
Why I Love It:
It just feels good. After a good hard workout, you feel like you've done something and you know it's good.
How I Stay Motivated:
I have a long way to go. I keep my focus by picturing what I could be and look like and use that as motivation. I also am teaching my kids some great habits about exercising and healthy eating that they will always have with them. That's the most exciting part, I think, working out with my 5 y/o daughter!

Picture when I first started working out regularly. Scary, I know! I was about 236 at this time, unknown body fat.
Taekn at my first consult with a personal health consultant. 206 lbs and 19.8% body fat with a lean muscle mass of 165 lbs.
Mostly, I want to drop body fat, down to 5%. Secondly, I want to increase my strength endurance.
Goal (Long):
I am going to achieve 5% body fat by Jan 1st. I am also going to increase my strength endurance. I am currently going thru a "bulking phase" trying to put on some mass. I will be starting a "cutting phase" soon. I am using a heavy weights & high reps routine. I am also including some bodyweight exercises and cardio & running/sprints as well. It is going to take a lot of hard work and dedication, but then again, I'm worth it!
Well, just got done working out. Did Beach Body's Cardio Intervals. 55 minutes of lug pumpin', heart rippin', leg burnin' hell! But it was definately worth it! Gonna cool down, stretch and have me a protein shake. Keep pumpin' everybody!
Current workout is the Beach Body Power 90 Master Series, mainly the Sculpt 5/6, Sweat 5/6 and Cardio Intervals. I workout 2 days and take one day off. This is because of my work scheduel. I do like these vidoes because Tony Horton is fun to watch and uses a little bit of everything in...
Man I have not talked to you in forever! What are you up to dude? Still working out? That snow must be just about melted up there and it will be time to take your shirt off - will you be ready?
Dude! Look at your latest profile picture! You can totally see that you have lowered BF%. And you gained weight at the same time? You need share that secret with me my friend! Good job Jeff!
It's tough when you are working that many hours. Don't let what happened in the past keep you from moving forward in the future Jeff. I am struggeling a little bit with a shoulder issue, but still trying to keep going. You take care my friend, Jon
