I wanted to get over my fear of lifting weights. I've been doing cardio, dance, running, cross-country skiing for years.
I also want to lower my body fat and see abs for the first time in my life and I don't think I can do that with out lifting.
Why I Love It:
I love that I don't get fat when I'm eating over maintenance but that I look better and feel sexy.
How I Stay Motivated:
Having different goals every couple of months helps to shake things up in the gym. I don't want to go just to keep things status quo. I want to see myself evolving and weight lifting is giving me this feedback.

aznprincessupdated Fit Status "first day of my cut and i'm stoked. it was REAL work for me to eat so much all the time."
Time to start cutting. My goal is 14%. I'm giving myself 16 wks to start.
Goal (Long):
I'm eating 1800 cals on weight days 3x/wk and 1350 on off days (reduced carbs only from green veggies). i'm going to give myself 16 wks and then re-eval @ the new maintenance.
i may have to start another bulk at that point to build more lean muscle mass in a long term effort to get leaner.
I can't believe I just added IronFigure as an inspiration today! her new avi is killing me! She is a total inspiration, beautiful, making solid gains in muscle, competing...all i can say is wow!
i'm definitely going to pattern myself own goals after her success. great job!
Michelle has had four children and looks better than when she was a teenager. Seeing her body and how beautiful and feminine she is while being well muscled really inspires me and quells my fears of weight training. She makes me want to get results too!

Awesome news! Make the most of this time and motivation. You may feel a peak at 6 weeks. Just mix up your training and you will continue to constantly improve! Keep me posted! xoxo
