It all began when I decided I wanted to get stronger for sports in middle school. The coaches put us on a weight lifting regimine 3x a week and showed us how to track our progress and he was very strict about keeping a log. I started noticing very good gains in both strength and muscle size which motivated me to continue to strive for bigger weights. During high school, I was involved in baseball, football, and wrestling. All of which require different types and levels of strength so the training was sport specific. I knew that I wouldn't be as big and not reach my potential ideal size if I did not lift with progressively heavier weights in a favorable rep/set scheme. This I learned all from bodybuilding.com. It led me to give up wrestling sophmore year. I weighed around 135lbs during wrestling season and 170 off season. After a year without the focus on sports, I started to keep the gains I was making in the weight room and continued to follow a strict routine 5 days a week. I was never really concerned about being as lean as I can, just as big as I could be without having a whole lot of fat. In February of 2006, I decided I wanted to get lean for the summer so I could walk the beach with a nice set of abs and overall good physique so I began following a calorie restricted diet which I monitered closely. As I got leaner, more and more people began to notice how big I actually was and congratulated me on how much muscle I gained. When in reality I had probably lost quite a bit of muscle. I just didn't have all that fat to cover it up. One day in July 2006, I was approached in the gym by a former bodybuilding competetor and he said I would do great at the show in November 2006. This inspired me to check it out online and he gave me the details. I looked up the NPC site and found out about tons of shows that were open to compete in. I found one not too far from where I live and decided that I would check it out. I went the very next day and entered in the teen division and won first place. That led me to try out my second competition, but I knew I had to make improvments because I was planning on entering every division. I followed a week long precontest carb deplete/load diet and came to the show much fuller that the last. I took 1st in teen lightweight, 1st teen overall, 1st novice middleweight, and 3rd in the open middleweight. I was eager to try one more and I entered the next saturday in La. I ended up getting 4th in the novice light-heavy class. I was 3 lbs over my weight for a horrible reason and mistake I made the night before. I competed once again in the Las Vegas show; placing 1st in teen heavy and 4th in the open light-heavy class. This year I plan to compete in a few more shows so I can be motivated to stay in top shape. I was approached about modeling and have recently taken professional pictures as a result and am begining to look for an agent that will represent me in the best way for possible fitness gigs.
Why I Love It:
The main reason is to achieve the symetrical rock-hard sculpted look I desire. The other benifits that come with working out include, staying heart healthy, building endurance, strength, discipline, and it is also my main remedy for killing stress built up in my life.
How I Stay Motivated:
I get in the gym and just focus on ME! I look in the mirror and can see where I need improvements. After a long hard grueling workout, I am satisfied knowing that I did best I could to smother my weak areas. What keeps me motivated most are the many compliments I receive letting me know that my strategies are working and the comments I get through this site inspire me to keep pumping and to offer an improved look to help inspire others who view my profile.
BB Accomplishments:
Undefeated in all the teen competitions entered my very first year of bodybuilding competition. I believe this is an important accomplishment and am not discouraged at the "losses" I accrued last year due to entering higher classes. I take the times I competed in the open classes as a learning phase and actually a big accomplishment since I rarely placed below 4th place even when I went up against guys twice my age and with that much more time in the gym.

I was around 200lbs with too much fat so I decided to dial in on my diet and cut out the junk food.
this was taken during a photoshoot at Venice Beach in April, 2007.
I am currently following a 6-8 rep scheme, and 15-20 set workout program, utilizing only 1-2 bodyparts each session. I tend to change things up a bit to keep my muscles guessing and this may lead to working out once per day for 7 days straight; twice a day for 4 days straight; or a day on, day...

the new photos are REALLY outstanding! You've got a new density and hardness to the muscle structure that I don't think I've seen with you before -- plus some clear gains in size. Great job! Looking forward to the next time you're on stage!
