How I Started:
I've worked out off and on (mostly on) for years. After graduating college, I put on a lot of weight and while I continued to exercise, my eating habits were probably not the best. After two years of carrying this weight around, I finally lost most of it and plateaued. A year later, I decided to dedicate myself to getting back down to my college weight.
Why I Love It:
I love seeing the changes made in my body and I love putting on a pair of jeans and looking great in them! I also feel empowered when I can flex my triceps and actually see muscle!
How I Stay Motivated:
I stay motivated by attending the gym. Working out at home is so isolated and lonely, and there's no one to be accountable to. When I'm in the gym, I work out as if I'm in a challenge with the person next to me to see who can run the fastest or lift the hardest. When I'm outside the gym, I stay motivated to eat right every time someone notices the weight I've lost and tells me how great I look.
BB Accomplishments:
I think my arms and shoulders have made major changes! I've even gotten a few compliments from friends about how I have so much muscle definition!

I want my body fat to be 20% so I can have a flat stomach and possibly some ab definition. As my body changes, my goals change. Depending on how my body looks, I may want lower body fat.
Goal (Long):
I'm looking to transform my body, which will require a lot of fat loss. I think I have muscle definition anyway but my muscles are mostly hidden by fat! In the past five months I've lost about 29 pounds and 9% body fat. I think I have great arm/shoulder definition but my biggest problem area is my waistline. Even when I was smaller, I always tended to have a roll of fat around my abs. This time, I'm committed to getting rid of this problem once and for all. I thought I would've been closer to my goal by now but I'm still determined to get there. Some say it'll take a year for me to get where I want to be but with enough consistency and hard work, I'd like to be there in another three to four months.

What bicep workout has worked best for you?
For my biceps I do hammer curls and regular dumbbell curls. I usually do four sets of hammer curls first since I think these are easier than dumbbell curls. I hate stubborn belly fat! It amazes me that people who are taller than me have such an easy time keeping a flat stomach even if their overall body fat is higher than mine. I attribute my ability (or lack of) to get rid of belly fat to my height. I'm seeing muscles in my quads pop...
