Atlantic City High Attended 1984 to 1984 Atlantic City, New Jersey United States
When I Started:
Oct, 2009
How I Started:
I started in High School. Drew Superheroes, saw Franco Columbo, Robby Robinson, and Frank Zane in Joe Weider's magazine, and decided I was going to be a bodybuilder. Started lifting on and off from that point on.
Why I Love It:
The health benefits. The feeling of strength and vitality (Qi)flowing through my body. The potential to transform my body to something better. Stronger. Faster. I have the technology :)
How I Stay Motivated:
Wake up in the morning and look at the tire around my middle where my abs used to be. Oh and my " moobs" (Time to hit those Hindu pushups!)
I used to personal train people. Now I look like one of my clients. Even then I was "husky" with a layer of fat over the muscle.
As of today I'm making a full commitment to go from 30 to 8% bodyfat in the next 8 months. It's not like I don't know how to do it. It's time to walk the talk. By June of 2010, I will have my 6 pack, I will have a man's chest, and I will be back to 5 mile daily runs, with sprint interval training thrown in.
Low glycemic foods, quality soy free vegetable proteins, fruits and vegatables, & lots of steel cut oats will get me there, along with gallons of purified water. On the supplement front, Source of Life Multivitamins, Udo's Oil Blend, BCAAs, my homemade secretagouge cocktail, Longifol and gelantinized Maca for proper hormone balance and GH. Ground flax seeds to keep estrogen levels down.
I'll do my cardio bodybuilding cycle 3 times a week. Get a Polar Wrap half mask and cold weather Underarmour gear so I can run and do HIIT training during the Winter without damaging my health. Along with my Tai Chi / Kung Fu training, I'm looking at 2 lbs. of fat loss a week. I'm 200 lbs. now at 5'7, so I'm dropping 44 lbs. of fat. This is equal to 22% of my bodyfat, bring me down to 156 lbs. with 8% bodyfat. I'll then proceed to put on 10 lbs. of muscle (If I haven't already), for a final ideal body weight of 166 lbs., 13.28 lbs. fat, 152.72 fat free mass.
I'm going to show that you can be Vegan and still be "Diesel". I see it. Now it's time to BE it.
Since I'm starting back up after an extended period of inactivity (over 8 years!), I'm easing back in, rebuilding my strength base and aerobic capacity.
Mon.- Wed. - Fri. Cardio Bodybuilding. Take 6 movements that work major muscle groups simultaneously ( such as squats and deadlifts )and...
