Overall Goal: My goals are pretty much the same as last year...get my body into peak condition both physically/healthwise and aesthetically. Get to 16% bodyfat. Wear shorts without thunder thighs. Get my skin glowing! Get my groove back!
Fit Status:
Been away, tentatively back...muscles achin'...
My mum used to take me to the gym after school. I think I was the only teen girl lifting weights while all my friends were kissing boys.
Why I Love It:
Working out keeps me connected to my body; when I'm not training I'm a person in a disconnected body that just does the very basic essentials. When I'm training, I can feel activity in every fibre of my body from head to toe.
How I Stay Motivated:
Up until recently, I'd lost my motivation. Until 2004/5 I always managed to fit my workouts into my busy schedule. Being a musician, it was easy to slip into late routines of eating fast food on the way home from club appearances/gigs, sleep late, wake up and teach etc. Because I've been lacking the energy I always had from a body that was working at a higher level, I've been substituting this with refined sugars and carbs, giving me short-term energy bursts but doing nothing for me in the long run. Also, the places I've been living have had no gyms nearby. Now I'm back living where I was as a teen and will return to the gym where it all started (albeit renovated and moved across the building, heh).
What keeps me motivated is having lots of pictures up around the kitchen of my favourite fitness models/competitors (Monica Brant, Trish Stratus)
BB Accomplishments:
I aim to clean my body and get my muscle density back up to par. I also want to gain/exceed my lost strength.

This was taken at the same shoot; from this angle I can see the definition beginning to appear in my delts but there was still not a lot of width in the arm - I'm 6ft 2 ectomorph, whaddaya expect lol. My hamstrings were toned and separate from my glutes....as opposed to how they are presently.
Leaning out. Not as bulky as the other week, although I kinda miss the size! My abs are comin' through, muthatrucka! Once I lean out my lower half more, I'll do another bulk.

I have so many goals...eventually I'd like to get certified as a PT and set up my own PT business. But first I want to re-record my album and get my clothing designs up for sale.

I've basically decided to wing it. Just kidding! I'm logging my intake on Nutridiary and just making sure I get adequate calories in my 40-40-20 split...I'm wondering whether to up the fats to 30 and drop the carbs to 30...I'm still figuring it out. One thing I have noticed since logging foods is how hard it is to get adequate protein! So next thing on my shopping list is a protein supplement.I've basically decided to wing it. Just kidding! Hi Emma, yea the concerts were fantastic, do you have facebook? I have a load of photos and vid's up. U went to NIN, wow I am jealous, I missed them at Oxegen here in Ireland. Hey I'm good thanks, just doing some lifting and focussing on sharpening my boxing/Muay Thai. I'm pretty ropey - the guys were laughing at my knee strikes today at training, lol! I dont care - gotta start somewhere, I'm not there to prove how double hard I am! :) Ur looking good - nice and firm with a nice athletic midsection - enough to put me off training! Hows things going for u - do u feel as healthy as u look? x

I'm sure once you adjust to the new changes you will be back into the swing of things. I'm doing pretty good, still training hard, starting to put on some weight, just got to keep eating to keep the gains. ttyl Beautiful :)

HiYa, yea it is the Bundstag Building, the photo was taken before I went to the start line for the Berlin Marathon. Berlin is hopping alright, I would love to see Alice Cooper live. I am going to ACDC, Lay Gaga and U2 over the next few weeks. How is training going?
