When I Started:
Apr, 2007
How I Started:
I was in my early 20's, overweight and sick of being that way. Didn't like what I had become and vowed to do whatever it takes to turn things around. I started working out, doing mainly cardio about 2-3 days a week sometime in 2005, but it wasn't until April 2007 where I got serious and started going to the gym 4-5 days a week. That's also when I slowly started to incorporate weights into my workouts and by February 2008 I was hooked.
In June 2008 I also started pole dancing for fitness. It's fun, sexy & definitely not as easy as some may think, I know I was in for a surprise. I do that about 2-3 days a week on top of my regular training.
Why I Love It:
It's just an awesome feeling to be able to better myself everyday. I hate missing a workout or half-assing one.
How I Stay Motivated:
Results. Seeing how far I've come, there's just no going back.
BB Accomplishments:
My biggest accomplishment has to be losing approximately 75 lbs. In my teens I began gaining weight and kept gaining steadily until my early 20's. At my heaviest I weighed approximately 210 lbs. In August 2007 I finally hit my goal weight of 130 lbs. It took a lot of hard work but it was well worth it. Since then I put on about 10 pounds of muscle, lost a bit more fat and really toned up.

In May 2003 I went to Florida for a family vacation, I weighed about 205 lbs. It was the pictures from this vacation that gave me that final push to do something about my weight.

Goal (Long):
Considering my past weigh issues, my main goal is to maintain this new and improved healthy lifestyle that I have grown to love. I will continue weightraining & pole dancing, and I would also like to improve my flexibility.
What type of outfit do you usually wear when you workout? Why?
A good sports bra is the key! Wanna keep those puppies in place while doing cardio. I usually wear a tank top or a beater over it & a pair of shorts. Anything that will keep me somewhat cool during my workout.A good sports bra is the key! Wanna keep those puppies in place while doing cardio. What do you think about people who "grunt" loudly while working out? Do you do it?
I don't really care, I usually have my iPod on so I rarely hear it anyway. And yes I have caught myself grunting a few times.
Ahhh, it's been quite some time since I blogged on here... time for an update!
