How I Started:
Since I was a small child, I have always had issues with my weight. I was told that I was "stocky" and "big boned". I never really cared about my weight until... November 20th, 2007 was the day I decided to change my life. That morning I was looking in the mirror at myself and I was disgusted with what I was seeing. I was ashamed that I had let myself get to being nearly 300 pounds. I was ashamed that I had become a person that is living a unhealthy lifestyle Ok, that is partially true. However, here is the real reason. I was trying to talk to this girl at the time. She said to me point blank, "You can't be serious. You're way too (colorful metaphor) fat to be even seen out in public with me." Needless to say I was devastated. It was like a switch that was buried deep down inside the pit of my belly turned on. That I promised myself that I will: *Never again will I be fat. *Never again will anyone make snap judgments on my looks, either good or bad. *Never again will I let myself down and fail the most important person, myself. This is the code that I live by every single day. Each time I get lazy and try to make excuses to not go work out. I think about those three commandments. It's not going to happen. Not now, not never. I will not lose… Ever.
Why I Love It:
I enjoy working out, because I like the results I see. Unlike most things in life. You can see results the same day.
How I Stay Motivated:
By looking in the mirror. It is amazing how the body changes over time. I remember not being able to do one pull-up. Now, I can do over 15. Everyday is another chance to allow my self to set and proceed to break any goals I choose to set. I also enjoy looking at the great Body Space profiles. If I can spark motivation in just one person, I believe my mission is complete.

I'm a mix of meso/ecto so I put on muscle easily, just need to meet my bodies quotas for the day. I don't really have specific things laid out to eat since I don't buy the groceries for the house hold but I typically stick to un-processed foods like deli meat and wheat bread and protein shakes throughout the day. At night is where I pack on the calories by generally eating a large dinner meal. I'm starting to put on more mass now that I've upped my protein intake and when I'm taking it.
