My husband introduced me to it. It took me a while to really dedicate myself to it, but once I did, I knew it was the life for me.
Why I Love It:
It makes me stronger in every way.
How I Stay Motivated:
I have some pretty serious health issues. In June I had surgery to get rid of a Staph infection in the bone of my leg. I had a PICC line giving me antibiotics 24/7 for six weeks. I may have to have a second surgery for this, as I still feel sick. The whole ordeal has left my body weak and sluggish. I have next to no energy, and the pain in my bone burns and stabs every time I move my leg. Since this is my reality right now I can think of nothing better to do than to begin exercising again, as least as much as I can. My primary goal at this point is to be the healthiest version of myself possible. I can't and WON'T let my body succumb to infection and sickness.
I was bordering on 220 pounds. This was taken two weeks before I moved to Hawaii and I realized that being fat and hot all of the time was not as thrilling as one might think.
Just getting back in the game after surgery in June. 178lbs.
HA! I may be completely wrong, but I think I may have seen you in aspen last night. Maybe not, you may have not even been there last night, but just a thought
Great dedication working past the pain...just be careful - we don't want you out of the game for an extended period of time! Nice to see a fellow Okie around here!:D
Thanks for the explanation! I already appreciated your drive to succeed, but I really admire the challenges you must overcome to be your best. You certainly have a ton of drive that will motivate anyone that no problem is too big! Keep up that moxie!
You are so so welcome. I too hope that you dont end up in a wheelchair in 5-10 years. My prayers are with you. Also no i dont compete this is just for me!!!
