When I Started:
Nov, 2008
How I Started:
I always had a thin build and accepted that i would always be like that. I finally stopped listening to the voices i heard in the past telling me i was nothing and started living cleaner. I quit smoking dope 9 years ago and gave up smoking cigs 5 years ago. I wish i had started lifting earlier. This is all part of a work in progress
Why I Love It:
It gives me a sense of ownership over my body
How I Stay Motivated:
I come on here and read blogs, i watch motivational videos.
I want to achieve the body i always wanted to have and not be embaraced to wear a t-shirt in the summer.
I am fully dedicated to shattering the bull$h!t fed to me when i was growing up that i am nothing. There's still a kid inside me that needs convincing, this isn't about anyone else but me.

Warhawk Matt Scott in Nike 'No Excuses' Commercial
Played: 39
Why I like this video: Wheelchair athlete Warhawk Matt Scott in the "no excuses" Nike motivational commercial. Possibly my favorite. What excuse not to hit the gym could you possibly have left after watching this?
Nick Scott's Journey - Wheelchair Bodybuilding com

Why I like this video: If you don't know who Nick Scott is then you need to watch this video. This guy is wise beyond is years. "We all have disabilities, except mine is visible"
Well, there's one more week left on my program (by Kris Gethin)(http://www.bodybuilding.com/fun/ 12_week_daily_video_trainer_main.htm)
I cannot believe i stuck with this for 12 weeks, this will be one of the very few things i have ever finished in my life. I feel amazing and have noticed...
Yes. Elk is truly excellent. Very lean and versatile. The only thing I had to get used to with steak etc was to add some liquid back in when cooking to prevent dryness. I'm lucky because The Hubby has been a master meatcutter for 30 years (now he works rigs)so if I want sausage or something he can make it to really lean specs. Good luck to you too.
