Matt inspires me by being a good friend and constant support system to me as I set and reach my goals. He is a "beast" and has great strength and works hard to have a healthy body.
Brooke is very positive and encouraging. She has great balance in her life but works hard to reach her goals. Brooke has given me great advice, shared her knowledge and she looks awesome - she is a great inspiration to me.
Do you monitor your heart rate while doing cardio?
Yes
Do you use a heart rate monitor? Which one?
I have a Polar Fitness model. It is kind of complicated but I am slowly figuring it out. At the very minimum I am able to track my heart rate but it also has a program to help me inprove my fitness level. I really love it. I have a Polar Fitness model. What heart rate do you aim for while doing cardio? Why?
I usually try to get into the very minimum 140's but I prefer 155 or around there. According to the charts for my age that is the correct h/r for my age group. However, I have done some reading lately that says that the age factor in a healthy person is not a good indicator of where your h/r should be. Anyone know anything about this?I usually try to get into the very minimum 140's but I prefer 155 or around there. According to the charts for my age that is the correct h/r for my age group. What is your favorite cardiovascular exercise? Why?
I am training for a sprint triathlon and a 76 mile bike ride in a few months. I love biking outside because I can enjoy the outdoors. Whether alone or with someone else a bike ride can easily turn into a long ride which burns a ton of calories. I usually bike a minimum of 50 miles per week which includes one long ride a week. I have a road bike and a mountain bike and I go back and forth with which one I use.I am training for a sprint triathlon and a 76 mile bike ride in a few months. I have been eating clean for about 2 weeks now and I am feeling great. I am about to start the new 12 week challenge as part of the 40+ group challenge. I have made it my goal to go 100% with it for the whole 12 weeks.
This means to continue to eat clean and in fact to learn more...
Hey Cheryl...Just trying to have a little fun and keep things interesting! Hope all is well with you and your training. Have a great rest of the weekend.
Good on yer Cheryl & don't worry a week off won't hurt. Things are going real well for me, making slow but good progress but I ain't posting no stats or pics till the end!!
Have a good weekend.

Many congratulations Cheryl on the new arrival. I wish you and your family all the best.
Doesn't mean you can slack on the challenge you know (LOL). Trust it's going well.

Thanks alot Cheryl, argggg! You've blown my deep cover & jeopardized the mission now. I must abort & change my screen name. Deleting pics now & uploading with new pics with a wig of course & maybe a fake mustache. I'll opt for the handle bar accessory on the mustache, hehe
No, CHERYL aka Nana, YOU are the best! Feeling discouraged today~your note came just when I needed it most! Stay strong at your daughter's home, sister~e-mail me if you need some support! xoxo
Hey Cheryl! Glad you were in the area. You're too cute! Went a teeny-weeny bit off track over the weekend, but I'm back, baby! Starving, as usual, so I know I'm doing something right! lol :)
Great pics Cheryl, don't be so hard on yourself; seriously. Great legs & abdominal mid-section. The 11 weeks left will fly by & I'm positive you'll achieve the goals you've set yourself.
All the best
Mark
Cheryl! I love your pics, seriously. Your full frontal really shows the muscle you have built upper & lower...your "on bended knee" pics are ingenious! Gorgeous sticks & waistline. Cannot wait to see the "AFTER"s! :)
