Matt inspires me by being a good friend and constant support system to me as I set and reach my goals. He is a "beast" and has great strength and works hard to have a healthy body.
Brooke is very positive and encouraging. She has great balance in her life but works hard to reach her goals. Brooke has given me great advice, shared her knowledge and she looks awesome - she is a great inspiration to me.
Do you monitor your heart rate while doing cardio?
Yes
Do you use a heart rate monitor? Which one?
I have a Polar Fitness model. It is kind of complicated but I am slowly figuring it out. At the very minimum I am able to track my heart rate but it also has a program to help me inprove my fitness level. I really love it. I have a Polar Fitness model. What heart rate do you aim for while doing cardio? Why?
I usually try to get into the very minimum 140's but I prefer 155 or around there. According to the charts for my age that is the correct h/r for my age group. However, I have done some reading lately that says that the age factor in a healthy person is not a good indicator of where your h/r should be. Anyone know anything about this?I usually try to get into the very minimum 140's but I prefer 155 or around there. According to the charts for my age that is the correct h/r for my age group. What is your favorite cardiovascular exercise? Why?
I am training for a sprint triathlon and a 76 mile bike ride in a few months. I love biking outside because I can enjoy the outdoors. Whether alone or with someone else a bike ride can easily turn into a long ride which burns a ton of calories. I usually bike a minimum of 50 miles per week which includes one long ride a week. I have been eating clean for about 2 weeks now and I am feeling great. I am about to start the new 12 week challenge as part of the 40+ group challenge. I have made it my goal to go 100% with it for the whole 12 weeks.
This means to continue to eat clean and in fact to learn more...
Thank you! I need to get some better pics up. But for now at least people know I'm real! Yeah I just figured out how to let it show that I"m in Glendale. Just learning this stuff slowly, ha ha

Cheryl,
I just got back a few days ago. I am looking for a gym to join. I didn't think that it would be so hard. So I see you are abusing yourself with another body challange. I will be on the new one at the beginning of the year.
Thanks, you are absolutely right! I just created the profile yesterday and haven't had a chance to upload any pictures yet. At this rate it'll be on Sunday. :-D Thanks for the encouragement!
I am dying over here~I see your sweet lil positive posts on a lot of peeps pages! You were like a lil fairy last night, spreading your sparkly support all over the place! xoxo

Yep, stick with it for sure Cheryl. It's real hard for me to put on quality muscle. Took me 16 months to gain just under 20 pounds but it. I always follow a high protein, low carb diet (carbs from fruit/veg no bread pasta etc).
