The first time I EVER lifted weights was during swim team workout in High School. Since then I was pretty interested in increasing my strength because I was such a weakling! I progressed quickly because I was so untrained. Now, my age is catching up with me - slower metabolism which means I just can't eat the junk anymore no matter how much I work out! So now I am controlling portions in addition to eating much cleaner.
Why I Love It:
I love having muscle and being strong. I LOVE feeling hard instead of squishy like the skinny cardio queens you see at the gym. I love the sense of accomplishment, and the stress release too!
How I Stay Motivated:
Motivation has to come from inside. You have to choose it. Life is full of choices, and in fitness the choices are often harder than any other choices in your life. You can't let yourself make excuses, and you can't eat things mindlessly because they are there. If you do slip up, and we all do from tiem to time, it can't derail you. You can't think "well, I screwed up, it's not worth it anymore" because you can choose to continue the program right then and there. Not tomorrow, not next week, not next month. Right now. Motivation is in making these choices, and these choices come from the one major choice you need to make - that you want to be healthy, strong, attractive, energetic, etc. It's just the way it is, and until you make the choice, it won't happen for you no matter how many times you wish things were different. You have to decide to MAKE them different.

Not too bad, if I do say so myself! I still have plans to get less fluffy, so stay tuned! PHOTO CREDIT: Cameron Ingalls, www.cameroningalls.com
Back to losing - for upcoming honeymoon and boudoir pics part dos! I am also running a half marathon in October!
Goal (Long):
Back on track so I can look great on our delayed Honeymoon. I also want another Boudoir session when I reach my goal. Right now I will be happy to break the 170 mark for longer than a few weeks. Thank god for small goals! I think I want to eventually be at about 20% body fat, but I will make the determination when I get there. My goal weight is somewhere around 140-155, depending on measurements and body fat %.
On top of all this, I have high cholesterol and some issues with my liver - weight loss and a healthy diet should be able to reverse both of these issues.
I had my weekly training session this morning – was really happy with the upper body part of the workout because she worked me hard with dips, bench press, dumbbell flys, over head press, shoulder raises, and bicep curls. My arms were shaking, and it was hard for me to even brush my hair...
Totally changing it up - doing a two day full body circuit right now, as well as 4-5 days of cardio. I am getting tired of the fat around my midsection, so I am working on maintaining the muscle and burning the fat.
Thanx for the motivation love! I can't believe i slacked back for so long.. but if it wasn't one thing it was another. But im back fullthrottle! catching up and going full steam ahead! Idk if i told you this before but you transofrmation is INCREDIBLE! Keep it up you obv know what you are doing!! =)
Congratulations on your progress! Your story is an inspiration to many out there and it shows that you can do anything you put your mind to. Keep up the good work!
