I played team sports in high school and that has progressed into Muay Thai Kickboxing. I started with Tae Kwon Do in 93 and started in Muay Thai in 2000 and just went amateur in 2007.
Why I Love It:
I feel great and it's so empowering to see the overall results.
How I Stay Motivated:
My family health is poor and I don't want to end up like them with a ton of medical problems.
amthyestupdated Fit Status "I am finally getting back on track with a fitnss schedule. I have been able to split my weeks, alternating between Thai and Weights"
I am an amateur muay thai kickboxer and would like to see improvement in my physique as well as just being overall healthy.
Goal (Long):
I have been an athlete all my life and now that I am “adult” I have been working hard while realizing I would enjoy working out or something athletic more than being a scientist. I am an amateur Muay Thai Kickboxer and would like to have a body to support my sport PLUS my desire to turn pro or do something else in the athletic field. I would like to lose 50 lbs and drop my body fat percentage to 15% or less. I am currently 180 lbs. with a body fat percentage of 28%. I carry all my weight in my belly and of coarse would like a six pack, but I will settle for flat abs! I have thick, muscular legs and calves, but would like overall muscle definition in my whole body. I think a good goal is 6 months because I am half way there, i just really need direction.
How has bodybuilding and fitness helped and/or changed your family life?
My husband is proud to be with me and he attends all my fights. He is working on losing the weight he has gained as well, and I have also motivated a good friend to become a gym rat with me... and she can't get enough... Workout Program:
Alternating weeks of Thai and Weights:
Weights 5 days a week with 1 hour of cardio each time
Thai Training usually 2 hours a time, 3 - 5 days a week
Pylometrics - 2 hours every week, i just can't fit these in anymore right now, i would like to develop to 4-6 hours a week.
but if you dont move around or attack you wont get opening to beging with. Some people are like shells they wont open up so you gotta punch hard as you could in there guts to open up abit. Also if you want put a person to sleep is by hitting them in the blind spot.
not deeply abit. I seen couple of fight before that people who are less in all stuff wins a fight because he takes advantage. I dont box anymore. Which type of fighters are you the thinker or the brawler?
there are people who use speed as weapon or power. in that way. I did boxing myself I learned alot about fighting as well as life. I understand it not about strenghth, speed, stamina, power...etc that wins you the fight it something else which many fighter dont seem to get and that these things are tools they are not what wins you the fight.
Thank you!! Like I said anytime you need something just PM me!! I might take a little while to get back to you, but I will write back!! Good luck and have a great week!!
