Mar, 2008
How I Started:
It has been a year March 2009 that I have been training. I have learned a ton of things in that year and have met great people who have cheered me on and have helped me along the way. My trainer, Thomas has helped me the most and under his training expertise, I am sculpting my body in a way that I am pleased with. My entire philosophy about food has changed (for the better), which has been 80% of the reason that I am pleased with what I see in that all telling mirror.
Why I Love It:
I love how well my muscles respond to weight training. I can literally sculpt my body through hardcore nutrition (clean eating), Resistance training (lifting heavy)and cardio (a variety of moderate and high intensity cardio).
How I Stay Motivated:
The mirror keeps me motivated. It either motivates me to keep doing what I am doing or it motivates me to get right back on track...haha.
BB Accomplishments:
1)I am currently working on my certification in fitness training through the ISSA.
2)My body looks better at 44 than it did at 24.
3)I am a role model to my kids, family, patients, peers, and friends in the area of nutrition and fitness.
This pic was taken at the very beginning of my diet. I started out with weight watchers.
Still in the muscle building stage. I am managing to stay kinda lean as I pack on the mass. I am 132 in this pic...which is up 2 pounds....and I am clapping cuz my bodyfat is down a few percentages (22%)...so I am packing on some muscle

Goal (Long):
I want to constantly get better with age. I do believe that age is just a number, but it can be more than a number if we let ourselves go. I want to look my best and hopefully motivate my friends and family to follow my example. So if I want to be an example, I need to do what it takes to live and look the part. I want people to say...wow she's forty-three? I always reach my goals! Having a vision is part of the plan, and I can see where I want to be. There are alot of great looking people on this site that will motivate me to be my best. And who knows what's next.
I find Thomas to be one of the most brilliant people I know. His talents are many, a great trainer, a brilliant teacher, an awesome leader, amongst many other talents. Thomas inspires me to push through my hard workouts and the challenges that bodybuilding faces. I am confident that as my trainer and my motivator, I will do very well in any competition I do. A true rare gem that I have been blessed to know, Thomas will always be an instrumental part of my life.

I am never satisfied...never. The minute I am comfortable is the minute I stop growing. Sadly I hear many people my age state that there best years are behind them. How sad!! I can't wait to get better. I am looking forward to each year. Each year my goal is to get better and better. Each day...
Annette, how is everything going for you? Every so often I feel the need to connect with and let you know I am thinking of you. I have no doubt that your training and food is right on track and that you are making the desired progress. I still chuckle about you travelling with your grill and foods etc. I always thought I was the only one going all out when I pack my suitcase LOL The stuff that we do to feel in control and safe...so so important though right? Hugs, Uschi
