When I Started:
Feb, 2009
How I Started:
I joined a gym for the first time in my life when I was in high school to lose weight. I loved the sport, I thought it was the thing for me. I've always loved DOING EVERYTHING SOLO!
Why I Love It:
I love the intensity, the pain, the focus, the sounds of weights being replaced and dropped, the heat and energy that flow out of my body, it's all the thing for me!
How I Stay Motivated:
Thinking healthy as much as I can..
Reading magazines, and of course networking with people here on BB.com!
Become healthy and toxin free..
Lose weight..
Put on muscle..
Learn Kick boxing..
See myself as an athlete forever...
Goal (Long):
- Become healthy and toxin free..
By priority:
- Quit smoking.
- Eliminate the occasional-social "couple drinks".
- See my body in optimum health.
- Lose weight..
I dropped so much weight before.. then I regained some weight over the past couple years.. Now, my plan is to continue training for the rest of my life.
- Put on muscle..
I can train hard, REAL hard.. I can push my body to its limit every time I go to the gym. I can "think fit" and stick to it. But I still need to lose the extra fat for it to show..
- Learn Kick boxing..
I'm taking classes now. It's great cardio and it trains the delts, triceps, biceps and arms like no other excersice. When I joined, it was more of "let's add another activity", but now I'm really loving it..
- See myself as an athlete forever...
I know my body can tolerate extreme exhaustion even though I was never an athlete at any point in my life. I played different sports, which probably helped. But still, when I compare myself to those who ARE athletes, I'm always the one who can do the HARD work..
What do you think about people who "grunt" loudly while working out? Do you do it?
It's fine if it's not fake or exaggerated!

What type of outfit do you usually wear when you workout? Why?
I like to wear all black with my university hoodie..
All black, cause most of my clothes are black anyway.. and the hoodie keeps my body covered, warm and comfy when I lift..
Seriously? It was a girl, a girl who told me to "workout".. I guess that's angering and motivating enough to get back to working out -and sticking to it-..
It's been a little more than a month, and I and people around me are...
