velvet5900 That's right Amanda, don't allow a relationship ending to distract you, just go even harder now! I had a break up not long ago too & it got to me, but I had to just get up and dust myself off and now... working out is my #1 priority. Those speed bumps of life, just make me rock it out even harder. We learn in life that relationships come and go and we must realize too, EVERY HAPPENS FOR A REASON... ALL FOR THE BETTER! Esperanza393 Congrats on your weight loss, Amanda!! And try not to call yourself a weakling (i do it all the time too lol, but i'm working on only positive comments), because i've noticed we are/act as we say/think we are! I don't know about you, but i'm about to start my 3rd week and already cannot believe the things i'm doing!!! You can do it girl :) before you know it you'll be waaaaaaay past 8 lbs! velvet5900 Thanks Amanda! Trust me, you'll be at Week 4 in no time ;o). I'm happy I can be a motivation to others (while trying to keep myself motivated). Positive vibes = positive results. I'm not out for a quick fix, I'm out for a lifestyle change. I've been tired of the rollercoaster ride I've been on (the ups and downs of weight), I'm out to keep it off!! NurseAngie In the first phase, you will be gaining muscle and may not see the scale move a lot as muscle weighs more than fat. with pics and measurements, you will see your progress. I wish you the best of luck with this. I went through nursing school while working nights at the hospital and two babies at home, so I know how it is and can relate. you can do it Jan 16, 2012 7:17am

NurseAngie hey Amanda. I just wanted to suggest that you take your measurements and before pictures. Even if you keep them hidden and a secret from everyone else but you, it will help you see the progress you've made. my before pics are horrifying and I only posted them because I knew it would give me an incentive to improve them.
