rboone819 just work hard and be dedicated to what you want to do and you'll get there. Basic is a discipline building environment...Stay motivated no matter what is thrown at you. Mar 3, 2010 11:09pm
Batchelor
Batchelor You look in decent shape already from what I can see in your photo, but once you hit basic everyone drops weight. Even though the Army's fitness standards aren't as high as I think they should be, it's a great organization for staying shape. Kudos on making the decision to get in shape and join. Where are you trying to get stationed for your first assignment? Mine was Germany and I highly reccomend it! Jul 11, 2009 9:30am
jdm4g63t
jdm4g63t Being a medic has its ups and downs just like every other MOS, I guess it just depends on what you like or dislike, or how much you can put with. I heard that Lipo-6 is also a good fat burning supplement as well. I enjoy being a medic though I have never me stationed in a hospital, im whats called a line medic, I like hanging out with infantry, scouts, and tankers. If you have any questions feel free to ask and if I don't know the answer I can point you in the right direction. Jun 2, 2009 2:36am
jdm4g63t
jdm4g63t I hope everything works out for you. That is my MOS originally a 91B(combat medic) now its 68W (health care specialist) Oh and I don't know if you heard about the latest studies on Hydroxycut. May 30, 2009 11:18am

The White Rhino
The White Rhino It's never easy making a life change, but keep plugging at it. By sticking to it, it shows that you really want to be a soldier, and I trust a medic who WANTS to be a medic. Stay tough. Mar 25, 2009 8:10am

timbri30
timbri30 Ive still got about 10% also. I did a ht/wt at drill the other weekend and everyone can't believe that Im not at ht/wt standard because they think I do look big. Then when I was off on tape too they really were shocked. But Ill get there. I didn't lose all this weight to just stop now. I only started in June of 08. I think by this summer Ill be right where I need to be. Keep up the work!!! Mar 2, 2009 8:25am
timbri30

callmeunodos
callmeunodos I don't know exactly what you could do to lose the neck and that stuff, but as far as pushups, the only way to get better is by doing them. Do as many as you can in good form (straight back, all that good stuff) and then once you reach failure (even if it's after just one) then do as many as you can on your knees. You could also have a partner pull you up with a belt while you go past failure. Good luck and lmk if this doesn't make sense. Feb 12, 2009 11:18am
