[EDIT 2/4/2009: I relapsed, got down to 78 pounds. I'm in the hospital now and will be discharged in 2 months or so. I can't wait to start lifting again. My pictures are the best motivation for me to get healthy again.]
I was a gymnast for twelve years, and from a young age I was always dreaming of having more muscle. I was recently hospitalized with anorexia for three months, and when I was discharged I happened to pick up the current issue of Oxygen Magazine. I was absolutely fascinated with the women in the magazine, and enrolled my Dad, a former bodybuilder, to train me.
Why I Love It:
I love lifting because it empowers me in a way that I haven't felt in years. Anorexia was so debilitating psychically, mentally, and emotionally, and bodybuilding has quickly filled that void.
amaliaeddeneupdated Fit Status "Still inconsistent in the gym. Took some progress pictures this afternoon and I'm dissapointed in my physique. I will not be posting them."

Lost a bit of weight, although it's almost gained back now, but I had some sort of abs! No matter how tight the rest of my body is, I always carry flab in my lower ab area.
I've continued to lift weight six days a week but I made the mistake of stepping on the scale a few days ago - I've gained 4 pounds since my discharge from the hospital three weeks ago. I've had some shitty days with eating [or lack there of] but I'm determined to get back on track. I can't...
hey cutie just wanted to say keep up the hard work and.... you dont look 110.... i think you would look sexy if you put on another 10 ..muscle of course... you have a nice build to start off of
charmed.
btw i think you can do it, but take it easy, without too much pressure, take things how they come, it will be easier ;)
i'm trying to be back in shape again, but for a different reason
It looks like you have had a lot going on. Its great to see you determined and want to compete! It looks like you have had some real progress, keep it up!!
Morning Amalia. Read your info. Dont put a lot of pressure on yourself. This is a life long journey. Concitrate on lifting wieghts & heathy eating. Eat clean to watch your abs so u dont add the fat u say u will get there. Building muscle will turn your body into a fat burning machine. Stay heathy & i cant wait to see your awesome chage a yr from now. Merry Christmas Bob
yeah, my friend needed some good inspiration. She used to be a dancer and had a rough time after getting diagnosed with RA, she's getting better though, just needed to see that it is possible to live a healthy lifestyle. Keep up the hard work, you're looking great.
