How I Started:
I got talked into entering a competition a month and half out from the base Classic.
I've always worked out for Rugby and just to stay in shape.
Why I Love It:
I love to play Rugby and to play and be good, you have to me phyically fit and have functional strength.
How I Stay Motivated:
I like being the quiet guy who lifts, pulls and pushes insane amounts of weights.

Placing 2nd in the heavy weight division in my first competition.

Well I WAS planning on another compeition when I got back stateside but I had an offer to go on tour with the Presidents XV down under so what do you think I did.
Deciding what to do with my life when I get back home. Considering getting my trainer cert. My dad will finally be happy.

i got someone who can push me and motivate me at the end of the sets. also keeps me from rushing from workout to workout.

What mistakes did you make when you first started working out?
I didnt concentrate on my calves and never had good instruction on squatting. it took me years to learn the right way to squat and even then im still tinkering with the techinque.
Nice to be back in the land of the free. been over seas for 360 and i have never been happier to mow my lawn, i even did the two lawns next to me just so i can smell the fresh cut grass. sometimes one can lose sight of the simple things in life. a great gym to go to is one of them...
Hope you get better quick I got injured my foot doing a marathon. Bot a stress frac in my foot. I was out for while with that. I am still getting hard. Not taking NO now and don't feel as strong. I still got 10 more pounds to lose this month.

The Lisfranc ligament is a tough band of tissue that joins two of these bones. It is important for maintaining proper alignment and strength of this joint (Month to heal )

Hey hey not been on for a while had some sh+t to deal with (see my blog) but just read your blogs made me chuckle "horses for courses" is the expression we limeys use no carbs means getting a hand off from a flyhalf and that sh+t can NEVER happen if you put crap fuel in the engine it won,t run right!!! you look in great shape I,d take you seriously on the field now give yourself a break and the fuel you need to do this!
hey hey! i was in Jacksonville, Florida writing about their team the Axemen. then we went to NYC to watch their championship game...sadly they got beaten by the New York Knights but it was awesome nonetheless.

yea im still at the deid. tow more months to go. just trying to imporve myself and have everybody breakin their necks when i get home. not like they werent already ! lol
