Honestly, I got interested in bodybuilding quite by accident. I've been lifting weights since I was 14, but only for general fitness or to support other sports. The vector change came when I was living in NM. I was sitting in my apartment, alone & bored, as usual...only this had been a particularly awful day at work. I was looking for something to get involved in outside of work (I was going nuts) and I came across some photos of female bodybuilders. Those photos intrigued me in a way nothing else in my life had. I started training harder, doing research and cleaning up my diet habits...testing the waters. It took me about 18 months to work up the confidence to admit I even had a personal goal (yes, I was that miserable), but once I started, I never looked back.
Why I Love It:
Bodybuilding is both the center of my life and my refuge. I'm a simple person and live a simple life...training fits my philosophy. Eat, lift, sleep, grow.
How I Stay Motivated:
Push & pull. The petty little people of this world peck and scratch at my goals, trying to pull me down to their level. On the other hand, my heroes, Bonny Priest and Alan Anderson push me harder in the other direction.
BB Accomplishments:
My biggest accomplishment really came AFTER my first show. I was driving home from Dallas and I decided, on a whim, to drive through San Angelo. I knew I had orders there and I knew Bonny & Alan owned a gym there. For the first time in my life, I took the initiative and made something happen for myself by walking into that gym and asking for help. It was the beginning of the end of me being a doormat.

I want to create a body that will win. Period.
I am not stupid or arrogant enough to think I am anywhere near that point right now, but I will work as hard as necessary to reach that goal. I need to add thickness to my back & upper chest and bring out my abs more. My next show is the North Americans in August!

So...I got back from Iraq in Feb 08 and started my contest diet a month later. I did the Europa Super Show last August, won my weight class (by default) and qualified for national-level competition. I got out of the military in October and started working at my gym as...
Using a 5-day split right now, but I'll change to a 6-day split once my contest prep starts.
I change up my training scheme every week. I use different rep schemes, order of exercises, supersets, drop/ascending sets, range of motion, etc. The idea is to keep the muscles guessing! ...Here's...
Would you recommend Muscle Provider as a supplement? I'm looking for something that will provide me with high-quality protein at an affordable cost. Your input is humbly solicited.
Hey there, just dropping in to say hi and look at your pics one more time(smile). Your hard work shows awesome results. You make looking sexy and beautiful look easy.
You are so strong with the barbell press and the row. I would love to know how many military presses with dumbells you can do with 45's. Check out my videos and see if you can beat me with the 45's.
