i hate rollercoasters-- i am tired of creating new blogs and new calendars about when i'm turning over a new leaf; this is the last new leaf for me -- this time i have to keep it consistent.
i'm almost 30 and i want to be fit and healthy before i have kids, so not only will i have an awesome pregnancy, but my kids will have a fit and healthy mommy to grow up with and look up to. if i have daughters i want them to look up to women like tosca reno, monica brant, jamie eason, lindsay messina; not the imiciated drug addicts who bombard young girls these days with bad self imaging. i want my kids to respect strong, intelligent women who take care of themselves and have a good balance; i want to be a good role model.
and finally being confident in a bikini wouldn't hurt, either.
Why I Love It:
it makes me feel alive, and fit and strong. need i say more?
How I Stay Motivated:
by rewarding myself with a spa day if i've been good. that should keep me at it. and all those cute boys in the weight room with their muscles, lol!!

Why I like this video: TOSCA'S INTV ABOUT EATING CLEAN!
i follow the eat clean; for me it's the only way i can realistically make a healthy lifestyle part of my life. love!!
I am this: someone who has, for as long as I can remember, been ‘a little overweight’. I’m not comfortable in a bikini (nor would I subject you to that) and at times, not even comfortable in my own skin. I”m a little tired of it. I’ve decided to just do what healthy people do — to...
hey girl! just read your blog spot. 10 pounds is nothing to scoff at esp. when you're in school! when i go to grad school in the fall it will be a miracle if i can keep my weight down. very, very little sleep and personal time is ahead for me so i feel ya on the school thing!
aw, thanks for the support. i'm trying to get out of a little plateau right now actually. i'm buckled down on my eating and i'm incorporating more cardio into my week now. i'm also trying to make things more fun! it gets a little repetitive sometimes. glad to hear you're feeling better. and you lost over a pound! good for you!
we all need a boost from time to time. i think you should really be proud of where you are and where you have been. seriously, setbacks happen and you just have to look at the overall picture, the overall journey and you've come a long way!
Hey Lexie! I hope you had a great weekend. I actually got to one of my favorite resturants yesterday...Mill Pond House in Centerport. GREAT place. Although I did pretty well with the diet. 1 glass of wine, grilled quail and NO desert :). I hope you have a great week!
hey girlie! i'm doing great! just really busy. how are you? i read your latest blog and it sounds like you're doing much better - ready to get back in the swing! i'm glad to hear it. i've been doing a lot of reading on the forums lately, getting advice for losing fat - eating clean & lifting heavy is where its at. i've been doing just that and i think its actually working! :)
Wow! Never mind the time, you finished a marathon. Less than 1% of the population can say that. Good for you. I'm going to try a half marathon this fall and maybe the NYC marathon next year.
It's coming along... I'm working on cutting out my smoking (nearly 6 days straight with no cigarettes... I set a 30 day goal for that). Still eating well but not putting in a lot of effort at the gym... I plan on changing that. How are things with you?
Thanks for taking the time to read my blog. It looks like you are kicking butt with your progress. Way to go. You may have noticed that my AVI is from NYC. We were up there visiting my wife's giant Italian family. They are a blast. Good luck.
