When I Started:
Jul, 2009
How I Started:
I saw myself in a picture and thought WTF...that's me?? I finally accepted that I have officially become a fat ass and got back into training. I was once one of those trainers that only had to put work to maintain the body. Now, having to train harder to lose weight and build muscle has opened my eyes to the challenges that my clients face everyday. I had to put my priorities back on track, and it's been a journey forward.
Why I Love It:
I love the way being fit makes me feel. I relish the pain of fatigue, coming home from the gym like I just got my ass kicked, feeling huge after a hard pump. It takes a certain kind of mind frame to do this sport because the only opponent is yourself-only you can admit defeat.
How I Stay Motivated:
I look at 'that picture', I stare at that mirror, I visit bodyspace frequently and tweet people that share my same passion. My family and friends are great support too.

I've increased my strength substantially on my chest, triceps, biceps, and legs. The back and delts have been my biggest challenge. I'm still cycling my shoulder exercises and pushing a little heavier on the weights to build muscle there and I would still like to be able to pull my own weight...
I'm just not a fan of running, that is one my main sources of cardio... Plus I was sick at the time. Now I'm better, and the running is getting a little easier!
