Overall Goal: I want to lose the excessive fat I gained during pregnancy, and become strong enough to keep up with my kids and husband who is also body building.
Fit Status:
Right now I need to up the intensity of my workouts and figure out how to eat more frequently throughout the day. I've been crashing.

When I Started:
Jan, 2009
How I Started:
I couldn't belive it when I stepped on the scale and it read 220. I think I about passed out. Since then I have had a total reawakening. Now I am hardcore about health and fitness.
Why I Love It:
I feel better every day. I have more energy, I am seeing muscles I didn't know I had, and I feel good about myself. I am finaly being proactive and I can't wait to get up and get started again every day.
How I Stay Motivated:
It's totally a love/hate thing. Some days I think I'm such a fat piece of crap I must push myself harder. Some days I think I am so perfect and beautiful I deserve to push myself harder.
I want to lose the excessive fat I gained during pregnancy, and become strong enough to keep up with my kids and husband who is also body building.
Goal (Long):
I have allowed myself to become so out of shape, I totally disgust myself. I would like to lose the weight I've gained; but more than anything, I want to live a very healthy, active life. I am a vegetarian, and I am trying to implament a carb. cycle. I am doing yoga, cardio and lifting weights... alot... heavy weights. I want to have bulging muscles and a six pack too. I know it's harder for women, but I think I am up to the challange.
What is your favorite "healthy" dessert? Give the recipe if applicable.
Frozen yogurt or sorbet with warm fruit. Yum!

Are you a parent?
Yes
How has bodybuilding and fitness helped you to be a better parent?
I have greater energy and generaly feel good all the time. It makes me feel good about myself and I am in a better mood. It, also, makes me feel good to hear my kids talk about health. I know they are interested in what I'm doing and they can apply it to there own growth and development.I have greater energy and generaly feel good all the time. So for, like, 2 weeks I've been celebrating my husbands birthday, our anniversary, and both of my kids birthdays. It was fun. The kids had a blast. And, I ate so much junk food!!! So much cake and booze. Yuck!!! I'm sure I put on 5 lbs., maybe 10, if that's possible! Anyway, I am so not going...
Where someone tells me to add meat, I just add tofu, or Tempeh instead. Hope that helps! I'm thinking of trying pea protien also for another protien source that isn't soy.
Hi beautiful Ali hey dont feel too bad after my competition well most of this week ive been eating some things i shudnt be But as long as you start back eating clean you will be fine forsure. Its not everyday to get to celebrate with ya kids so enjoy it okay
Hi beautiful Ali thanks so much for the well wishes and im just blessed and thank God for providing me with a place in my first ever bodybuilding competition. Hows your training going?
I was doing really well with it. I get stuck with my daily coffee by my job. I always get a iced latte and they dont have soy milk. Then the cheese, is the other trouble area. I do buy vegan cheese and use it in place of regular cheese as much as I can. They say when your just starting out you should start slow and over the course of a year get to the 100% vegan point. I just started this past Feb. 09', so I'm doing okay I think.
Hi.. how have you been? School doesn't start till the 10th... so the hectic schedule hasn't started yet. but i had a bad allergic reaction to something (back and forth to doc) no idea what it is. :-( so i stalled on working out and stress added to me binch eating.. agg.. but once i realized i was doing it i stopped. so i have to try to force myself to stick to my stuff even when **** gets hectic.. but thanks for writing and i hope your doing well. How is your progress going?

Yea I guess your right..;)
Thanks, its good to hear stuff like that from motivated people...usually I don’t hear anything except things like "what’s the point" "I don’t see a difference"
You know, your progress might not seem that great to you... but other people notice it. You obviously have more motivation than you give yourself credit for.
