When I Started:
Jun, 2007
How I Started:
I realize that I will be 40 years of age and I have never been 198 lbs, which saddened me. After husband was diagnosed with Sarcoidosis I realized that I must take care of myself because I need to be at my best for my family. I also want to break the cycle of obesity in my family.
Why I Love It:
In progress
How I Stay Motivated:
Every time I go up a flight of stairs and I am short of breath, and when I sit in the desks at school, and half my butt hangs over keeps me motivated not to quite.
After weeks of depression about my weight I realized that things are not going to change until I change them. I have been fat all my life, and it is hard to see myself thin. I cannot allow myself to look long term because I will get discouraged, but I must look at each day with promise, commitment, and perseverance. I refuse to see another birthday this way. I will rely on the experts and my friends to help along the way, until I won the battle of the bulge.
"My latter will be greater than my former"
Failure is not an option!!!
I've had two weight loss surgeries( gastric bypass in 1994, and the lap band in 2005). I lost weight initially but gained it back on in less than 1 years. The lowest weight with the first surgery was 198 lbs, and with the second 240. I feel depressed about it, but I must move on. I'm determined...
Lana, for where art thou my Lana? Come on now my sista, you need to step it up! I am waiting on you to add a blog, post in a forum or something that shows me you are staying motivated. Juliet.
nextag.com is a good online spot to find good deals on anything just about. Look for your protein there and about the soy meat, are you aware of the potential dangers with soy? I have some good pointers when working with soy, so let me know if ya wanna hear 'em. Juliet.
Hello again, askjv3! How did the shopping go for the proteins, etc...
Have you started making progress?
Keep running your blogs, we are depending on you to keep us posted.

Stay focused on your goal! Even through the frustration. Eat for health (not to diet!) and lift, lift, lift those weights for a full body workout. No such thing as spot reducing! Keep me updated!!
