When I Started:
Mar, 2008
How I Started:
Call it a re-start in '08... Fell away from lifting for about 10 years. Got to the point where I was winded carrying my 2 year old daughter up the stairs and had to get bigger pants, shorts, swim trunks.
Why I Love It:
I like to see the changes in my body.
How I Stay Motivated:
There isn't really "motivation" anymore. It has become a way of life for me now.
Some things that help keep me on track are:
I can play with my kids and they tire before me.
I feel much more comfortablle around the pool - but have more to do.
My family and friends - INCLUDING those I've met through this site. THANKS GUYS!

Aaron is there to give me that "push" I sometimes need. His help with training has been great! Always someone who will give me an honest view and someone great to bounce ideas off of. Thanks man!
First, logged my 100th workout on the site today! I am amazed at my strength progress over the last 7 months. The workout tracker is truly motivating to me because not only can I see progress in the mirror, I can see progress on paper.
Speaking of mirror, someone on this site told me...
Hey man thank you. Yeah the waist is killing me. haha But I am going to get it down if its the last thing I do!!!! haha
and thanks. I am nervous and excited to think of being in a comp. But I am going to bust my tail and see if I can get ready for it
Thanks for the kind words my friend! I was just about to write you anyway. A-train and I were just talking about the inactivity in our BodyGroup, so we'll have to keep encouraging one another via the comment boards and PMs. Drop me a line when you have some time. - M
Im not sure if im the best person to ask how to lose weight im coming from the skinny side. but i believe the concept is the same and that is eating 6+ times a day. you should probably eat 1 gram of lean protein per bodymass pound per day. 5-6 days a week working out with about 45-60 mins cardio with heartrate at about 130-135. try that for 8-12 weeks and see how it works
Thanks for the words of encouragement. I am really trying to bring the weak parts up, so I really value your comments. I've got a long way to go. But I'm going to keep the comeback going and see how things look after I have 1 year of training under my belt...
